hi i posted here before i been reading bad reviews about criss angel's believe people are still asking for their money back walking out and some are falling asleep durning the show,i heard it's that's bad and he talks about his new main sqeeze to.so believe is that bad how come they have it closed it yet i love criss angel but i don't want to waste my money on it i rather go shopping or gamble with my money has any one on here seen believe. i think i will stick to watching his show on TV another thing is the LUXOR is offering packages for the show some people got ripped off already sound like criss angel wants to get rid of his tickets any way he can pretty sad. |

I'm coming to Las Vegas for the first time next month and I'm so excited! I just wanted to ask if anyone can recommend anyplace that does karaoke on "The Strip" Saturday and Sunday nights. Large or small it doesn't matter to me, I'm just looking for a friendly crowd and a good selection of songs. |

Hi!
My boyfriend and I are going to Vegas for a week and we're really interested in the Old Las Vegas. We're not too keen on doing all of the touristy Strip stuff, but rather, we'd like to see some old time crooners, a classic Showgirl show, visit the neon graveyard and kind of have that Rat Pack-esque experience, as well as go to some of the places the locals like to go.
We've been told not to stay in the older part of Vegas, but I'd like some perspective. Has anyone here stayed there and have places (restaurants, hotels, other fun things) to recommend? Are there any locals in this group who can tell me about some of the non-tourist things to do in Vegas/ Old Vegas?

Are there any grocery stores on the Strip or not far off it?
We'll be staying on Convention Center Drive (in a hotel, not on the street) and I'd like to find a grocery store nearby if possible. |

| dancing in vegas |

I'm coming down at the end of feb to spend about a week dancing. Hopefully at scores, rhino, or crazy horse. That's the plan. My question is not on anything dancing related, but just on where to stay.
I am probably doing this alone, and I really want to save money in where I stay, but I want to be somewhere relatively nice (a pool would be great) and as close as possible to where I need to be. If I have to spend 50 bucks a day on taxis it's not gonna be worth it to stay further out.... Ideally between 50-100 bucks a night.
I'm checking out vacation rentals on craigslist but I was kind of hoping to be able to share accomodation with other travellers?
Any ideas on where to go, resources to use, etc? |

Okay, I just got back from Las Vegas for the fourth year in a row and I have to say I was so annoyed I wanted to leave a day early. There has always been the people that stand out on the strip that stop you and ask you where you are from and try to sign you up for free show tickets in exchange for tricky offers that I never listen to. You get use to it out on the strip, even though it is annoying. But now, I was shocked to get harrased IN the casinos. While visiting The Rio, Bally's and Paris I was bugged by these people while walking through the casino to gamble. It's getting carried away, it's harrassing, and it makes you not want to visit their Casino area anymore. I ended up staying out of those hotels for the rest of my trip. Does anyone else get annoyed by this?
And one question, we forgot to ask our cab drivers, what are they building beside the Monte Carlo where The Boardwalk use to be? |
