Seda's Encanto Fic Master List
Jul. 7th, 2023 04:38 pmHey y'all, long time no...anything! I have moved on to so many other social medias, and fandoms, but only one has reminded me that I can, in fact, write fanfic. IDK how or why Encanto got me by the throat but boy did it ever, so here. Have links to what I've been up to. Those of you who remember me from a decade+ ago are going to be shocked by the number of OCs here.
MAIN SERIES: The Madrigal In-Laws, aka Sedaverse
Without question the Madrigals were the most remarkable family in town, but they were not alone: there was the generous and outgoing Martinez clan, the outsider Córdobas, and the proud, refined Guzmáns. The four families form alliances, rivalries, influence one another for better or worse, and - over time - become one.
First Impressions of a Miracle - Agustín's and his hapless parents stumble into a miracle and are absolutely not prepared.
Better Tomorrows - Forty-ish years of a miracle through the eyes of Félix's uncle.
(Mis)calculations - Mariano's abuela has so many judgey opinions about so, so many people.
Final Reflections on a Miracle - The death and life of Agustín's mother.
A Prophet In His Own Land - WIP. Growing up in the close-knit community of the Encanto, Bruno Madrigal is many things to many people: a dutiful and difficult son, a loyal, irritating brother, a shining star, a lurking menace, a dear friend, a familiar mystery, and an object of scorn. Shouldering the burden of all these contradictory roles, he struggles to find his place in both the town and his family.
Talk of the Town - WIP. Pepa's nerves are shot while she's pregnant with Antonio. This gives the rest of the kids a reason to make themselves scarce from Casita, spend time with their other families, and dig up dirt on their parents, Abuela, and that guy they can't talk about. Shenanigans ensue.
Damage Control - When the miracle's twentieth anniversary ends in violence, Félix does his best to smooth things over and make sense of it all. A visit with an old friend leaves him with the usual "more questions than answers".
APOCRYPHA - The same 'verse as above, but post-canon. And gay.
the same boy you've always known - Bruno Madrigal and José Guzmán had grown up together; sometimes they were friends, most times they were rivals, but they always knew their places as the respective only and eldest sons of two prominent families. One day, prompted by a vision of the future, José left the Encanto to become a priest. His return some thirty years later with a fresh group of refugees stirs feelings both long forgotten and never before considered.
Pollination - A new group of refugees has arrived in the Encanto, and Isabela has decided to keep an eye on them. Turns out, one of them already has eyes on her.
Fruition - In which Isabela and Bubo grow closer, and share a Moment.
ONE SHOTS
a slip of the mask - After the death of the Miracle, Julieta realizes she is angry. Her brother makes an easy - but also very complicated - target for that emotion.
A Star Is (Re)born - Modern Celebrity AU. Everyone in the Madrigal family is famous, but historically Bruno has been notorious for all the wrong reasons. When a chance to revitalize his career presents itself, Mirabel encourages him to take it.
Gently - Five times Bruno got squeezed too hard...and one time he didn't mind it.
The Magic of Theater - They don't have Gifts, they don't have a miracle, and they definitely don't have a house, but Camilo soon figures out one thing that can pull his family together: the fact that they're all storytellers at heart.
someone you really love - Pepa realizes there is something different about her, then figures out that "different" does not mean "wrong", and over time passes the lesson on.
