I'm kristen, and I lead a ridiculously charmed life. at the age of 22, I had already accomplished a lifelong goal- to get a degree in animation from loyola marymount university- and I get to spend every day knowing that I've already accomplished huge things. I'm blessed with a great family, amazing friends, the sweetest feline companions a girl could ever ask for, and the love of my life, all in the city that's my total idea of utopia!
my best friend is my husband, who's my partner in crime and embarks on tons of varying adventures with me- we've both had our share of bad relationships, and we're finally being rewarded by god for enduring all of the trauma that we went through in the past. we're real teammates, true blue soulmates with nothing but love for each other, and we have such a long, happy road ahead of us. he astounds me every day with his thoughtfulness, incredible passion, honesty, and maturity- I've never, ever been treated so well in my life. plus, we have everything except our genders in common, so the chemistry is off the charts!! I thank god for him every moment of every day. I'm proud to be his ultimate cheerleader, helping him to achieve his goals as we work towards our mutual dreams together. he's the cheese to my crackers, the peter to my lois, and he knows I'll always have his six... and he'll have mine! ♥

I love to learn as much as I can from life, and I'm constantly reading books. I ask questions whenever I don't understand something and try to absorb knowledge like a sponge. I often miss being in school, and would go back just for fun if I wasn't up to my neck in student loans! I have a lot of book smarts, but I have street smarts, too- I try to take some kind of lesson out of everything that happens to me, even (and especially) the bad things. I believe in focusing on positive energy, and try not to let things I dislike overshadow me- because, let's face it, they're just not worth it!
music is a huge part of my life, and I'm lucky enough to do independent work for my two all-time favorite groups, the blue scholars and common market. I've made so many friends thanks to their music and I'm forever in their debt. art in all forms is important to me- animation, drawing, music, writing, filmmaking, and tattooing are some of my favorite outlets for creativity. originality is key to me, and I strive to stand out from the crowd without being that "square peg" that gets hammered down, as the japanese say.
I love my city of seattle with all my heart, and will be here for the rest of my life- except for times when I get moved around because of my husband's career in the united states marine corps (semper fi!)- and this town will always be my home. I'm a true blue seattle girl, from my head to my toes, and I couldn't be prouder of that!
all that being said, this journal is 99% friends only. I make announcements for shows I'm promoting public, as well as other random things that are just pure silliness, but the stuff with substance is reserved for people I actually know.
