This is for the back cover: You may think that it's pretty unusual to be sitting on the bleachers, minding your own business when suddenly, you gasp. A pair of shoes is flying towards you. Well, in my life, it is the usual. Here are some of the stories for the body of the book. The Planetarium Affair It was around March when we started learning about space in Mrs. Pate's science class. Mrs. Pate asked the class if anyone had ever been to a planetarium before. None of us had. She then asked if anyone knew what a planetarium was. Several hands shot up. Mrs. Pate called on Cameron, the teacher's pet. "Isn't that where they keep the butterflies?", Cameron asked, although we all knew that it sounded more like a statement than a question. The whole class burst out in laughter, except for the teacher. She then told us that a planetarium was a place where you could go and get a better look at the night sky than at home. The Apocolyspe??? On June 1, 2006, many people were on their guard because the date spelled, or rather, numbered 6-6-6. Many rumors spread that this date could be Armageddon, or at least a clever day for a terrorist attack. However, this is not why we thought the end of the world had arrived. Mrs. Baker's class saw it happen. We couldn't believe their stories. It couldn't be true. Could it? According to Mrs.Baker's class, Mrs. Pate actually smiled. We had assumed that maybe it was a medical problem. Probably, she was simply incapable of smiling, or at least emotionally challenged. As Austin and I, plus all the other folks from band, walked back from band class, I discovered this event. "It's the apocolypse! The world is coming to an end!!", Austin exclaimed. "What happened, did Mrs. Pate smile?", I asked jokingly, never even suspecting that this was the case. "How'd you know?" I gasped. How did this happen? We noticed Sarah and told her thatthe world was ending. She, too, asked if Mrs. Pate had smiled. And, so, that is how our world in sixth grade came to an end.
There will be a better, longer, higher-quality story later called, "Missing the Bus". It is too big to type here right now.
