We didn't receive very many icons, so I'm therefore extending the contest for another week or two. I really hope we get more icons to add to the voting pool!

Last competition of the year!


Hi everyone! Sorry for the temporary absence. We've decided to make this community a seasonal one, since during this time a lot of people are absorbed in work, school, or just their personal lives and can't make time for graphics. Therefore, we may not be coming back until the year of 2012, either for a holiday vacation (Christmas special DW anyone?!) competition, or until the summer.

But we can't just leave so abruptly! So we're hosting our last contest for the year! Here's how it's going to go:

You will get to choose any pictures from the gallery provided. They're all HQ screencaps from The Wedding of River Song, and yes, I said any pictures!
You can use however many you want, as long as your turn in 4 or less icons.
You have free reign in what you want your icons to look like. No real guidelines for you this time (besides the icon needing to include Karen!), so go wild!

I'm having some troubles with my photobucket so I can't post the challenge up yet! Ahh! But I promise that as soon as it revives itself (or I move everything over to some other host) I'll put it up. This should be a fun one, so stay tuned! I'm thinking I'll post it either this weekend or next, photobucket be damned!

Okay, please don't throw tomatoes at me. Or, you know, custard fish fingers or something. I know I've been gone for a while. I'm really sorry, especially since I didn't even warn you guys.
This community was made last summer when I had absolutely nothing to do, and my passion for icon making was at an all time high. I still love making icons, and I still adore Karen Gillan. But once summer ended, my time was quickly gobbled up, and I never got any time to make competitions, much less tally the winners.
But that should be changing! Summer is approaching yet again, and I, along with a lot of lj-ers, will have at least a little bit more time to fiddle around with Photoshop!

So YES KARENSTILLS WILL BE RETURNING SOON! :)
I'm not sure when yet, however I'm going to be getting a challenge ready soon for you guys!
I'd also like to ask if anyone is interested in helping out? I'm not sure if I need it yet, but I do remember that it was rather tedious to count up all of the scores and get that together, so help may be needed if it becomes overwhelming.

Not so sure if anyone is even out there anymore, but if you are, leave a comment to tell me if you're still interested in participating in the icontests! I'm excited to get started.

Our first contest has been extended until this Wednesday, the 11th. I really didn't want to have to extend this, but as we only have three entries I think that would make voting a little dull.
If all else fails, voting will commence, but I'm hoping SOMEONE else will enter. Please try if you have the time! It can't hurt.
