Lately, my most time-consuming contribution to fandom is trying to keep the Ouran newsletter ouran_today alive. If you're interested in Ouran and you like newsletters, you should check out that journal. :)
The perl program I wrote to automagically generate an icon table from uploaded flickr images is documented here. The mood theme uploader is here. (They are cool, try them!)
I'm going to try to keep an index of the icons I've uploaded. It doesn't have the older ones, but I'll keep it up to date going forward. You can visit all my old beloved icons at my insanejournal account; I've only got six left here now.
For better or worse, I've come far enough that it seems prudent to have a list of which series I've seen and what I thought of them. So here we go:
Darker Than Black: I was in love with Hei sunk after the second episode. Maybe the first.
Kyou Kara Maou: Brilliantly cracktastical. Explodes with fanservice and strangely fascinating plot devices. I love Gwendal and Conrad.
Nabari no Ou: My newest obsession. Dork love to the max.
The Best of the Rest (anime):
Bleach: A really surprising amount of depth hidden underneath the crack of fights to the death in which nobody ever dies. I'm in love with Shuuhei. And I really want someone to write me some Urahara/Ryuuken/Uryuu. Please?
Cowboy Bebop: Some great fight scenes and humor. Love the fight scene in the cathedral.
Death Note: Such an awesome plot! If the plot diagram of most stories builds to a climax in a more or less linear fashion, then the plot diagram of Death Note is an exponential.
Hellsing: Great stuff. The anime doesn't seem to quite live up to its potential, but Alucard and Integra make up for it.
Hikaru no Go: This was so addictive while I was watching, but it's like the extremeness of Hikaru/Akira is only believable if you've recently watched the anime. Hikaru and Akira are such great dear children.
Gundam 00: So pretty. So political. So much fanservice.
Gundam Wing: So pretty. So political. More Trowa, pls.
Loveless: Slow moving, but it's good enough that I don't want to complain. I love the original Zero's.
