Juan Carlos beat Rainer Schuettler last night. A fairly tough match 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
He plays David Ferrer next.

I made this a fair while ago [in January some time, coz it's from a photo I took at the Aus Open], and I can do heaps better now, but I thought I would put it up anyway.

Hi everybody! i'm Mal, i'm from France. I love Juanki! hes an amazing player but this year was kinda fucked up :( , i dunno why but i do hope 2005 will just be better and if possible, as good as 2003 at least when the lad managed to win the French Open!

Oh no! From the Tennis Masters Torono:

Spanish seventh seed Juan Carlos Ferrero was an early casualty on day one of Tennis Masters Canada, retiring at 2-3 in the first set against Frenchman Fabrice Santoro. Ferrero, a finalist at the US Open last year, slipped to 17-10 on the year.

Poor JC. =(

Hola hola! I'm Adriana [from Venezuela] and I've just joined. I'm a big fan of tennis, I started following just last year but right now I just love it. Juan Carlos is one of my favs, too! So that's why I decided to join here.

Can't wait for Roland Garros on Monday! I hope JC plays, it's still a bit uncertain that he goes there to defend his title. He's been missed around the tour lately, don't you think? It's gonna be hard me for though, cause he faces Tommy Haas on the 1st round on RG and I like him too! Hehe. Anyways.

Ferrero steered Spain into the semi-finals of the 2004 Davis Cup after beating Verkerk, 6-4 6-7(5) 4-6 7-5 6-1.

I'd like to watch this match. The score looks extremely close. I'm not exactly happy with the way Ferrero played, considering the fact that Verkerk just finished a doubles match before playing Ferrero. Ferrero should have whipped Verkerk's butt. =) Then again, maybe Ferrero needs time to regain his performance after taking time off to recover from chicken pox.

I know this was awhile back, but still. JC got chicken pox!!! How does a 24 year old (he is right?) man get chicken pox? But. poor poor Juan Carlos! I hope he gets better soon! Want to see him back in action!!
