Things we will need for a fic exchange:
1) mods
-rules and FAQ maybe?
2) a cool-looking banner
-especially one that people are willing to pimp out and spread throughout the fandom
3) a sign-up
-About You section:
-username/pseudonym: some way of reaching the person through LJ or tumblr (or Dreamwidth if necessary)
-e-mail address (must be valid NOT a forwarding address)
-nature of entry (fic, art, graphic, gif post, podfic (original work preferred unless working in conjunction with another author), fanmix)
-What are you offering to write?
-which season(s) of Teen Wolf can you write about?
-which characters are you willing to write about?
-what genres are you willing to write about?
-if you’re willing to do a crossover, which fandoms are you willing to crossover with?
-Wish List section:
-actual prompt (be explicit so that the author has an idea of what you’d like to see; we’ll try to match up people as best as possible)
-Elements you’d like to see (pairings, themes, etc)
-Elements you would like to avoid
-Other section:
-Do you know that you are asked to use a beta for submitting fanworks? (I’d like to do this for all fanworks just because an outsider’s perspective is nice to have and maybe it’ll encourage more people to beta other people’s fanworks. We could definitely use more betas in the fandom.)
-Would you be interested in volunteering as a pinch-hitter?
- Would you be interested in volunteering as a beta?
-The name of someone your gifter can contact you about your preferences or some way of contact that allows the gifter to remain anonymous while asking about preferences?
4) a timeline for things:
So a date for sign-ups to open for all participants
A date for sign-ups to close for all participants
Pinch-hitters if necessary?
A period of time when assignments are sent out
Some period of time later, betas need to look over the progress of the assignments
Assignments are due
Pinchitter assignments are due
Posting of all fic starts
