This is the personal community (of two!) of shivedheart and janelgirl. janelgirl and I have been friends since 1987, when we both entered middle school. Not entirely popular with the other kiddies, we two outcasts became fast friends. Nearly twenty years on, that friendship persists. Sadly, a state divides us, and though we call and email each other profusely, we wanted to do something together. Our first idea was to take similar classes at respective colleges. Since I, shivedheart, work for a community college, this wouldn't have been difficult for me.

I had noticed a Hebrew class being offered, but sadly janelgirl could find no correlating class. Next came the subject of geography, but that idea died a rather fast death. Philosophy? Perhaps World Religions? What about Psychology? Because I was a some-time psych major, I had taken most of the courses available at the college. And then janelgirl said the magic words, "book club." That got me thinking. We both love to read! Hell, I even have a degree in English! What could go wrong? And then it hit me. Why not create a community just for the two of us? That way we don't use our personal LJs and bore other people.

This is our little nitche in the world. We'd invite you in, but we don't like to share.
