"Aftermath: As The Dust Settles"
I want to make a mix called "Aftermath: As The Dust Settles" - just kind of a collection of songs about what happens after, I could use recomendations. Sort of like the relationship is over but we may still be okay, or like now were friends, - sad break up songs are okay, but it be even better for upbeat songs. I got in mind songs that are akin to Liam Lynch "Get Up On The Raft" or another few songs, that come to mind that I may include is like "Nothing Better" by the Postal Service, or even Elegant Lines by BMX Bandits, oh Silly Boy kind of fits, "Didnt We" by Milky Whimpshake |

I am looking for songs that fit the theme of "we broke up but we're going to be okay". Maybe even just rememberance of the good times. I want to anchor the mix to Liam Lynch's "Get Up On The Raft"... maybe even make it a conceptual story told through compiled songs. I even got a name for the mix, just drawing a blank on some good songs for it. Working title "Waiting For The Dust To Settle" |

Songs that are just too damn sexy for their own good also known as Songs to do it to (and I mean roughly, none of that sweet bullshit) We're talking hair-pulling kind of love. I am not picky. Just kinky. |

Hey, I'm looking for some good songs about new york city, or moving to new york. My sister is moving in two weeks, and so far I can only think of LCD Sound System's "New york I love you". I know there are an abundance of songs about new york out there, I'm just kind of drawing a blank and I'm on a time constraint. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'm open to all sorts of styles of music. I think a variety might be nice. |

Songs about fears of intimacy (and I mean in relationships, friendships, whatever else, not just sex) or isolation from others? Fairly "mainstream" is also okay. |

LA/CA mix
I'm going to be spending the summer in L.A., and am looking to make a mix of songs that explicitly reference L.A., California, or other cites/towns/locations in California. So far I have: Los Angeles I'm Yours - The Decemberists California - Phantom Planet (shut up, it totally rules) Longview - Green Day Any genre (really, any), but genres with a relationship to the area would be much appreciated (i.e. old school Bay Area/L.A. hip hop, West Coast punk). Thanks a bunch folks! |
