can someone help me make a background of the Trio .... dosen't matter which one ... I perfer Happy looking ... the color's if posable .. Blues, purple and blacks to the left thank you so much!!

In other news, I've slacked off major in my quest to make a decent background. I'm thinking of making a map(ish) background. Would anyone use it?

Since no one actually bothered with the challenge, I'm revoking it. No challenge these new two months. Hopefully we will hit 20 members soon.

This is a background I made for my friend. It has a bunch of characters. It is a Gryffindor themed bg. Take a look if you like it and use it, just credit me in your user info I guess. Well, I have to issue an official hpbackgrounds apology. I have been so busy with school that I have neglected my duties as mod. I apologize for the lack of backgrounds, news posts, welcomes, and general commentary for the past month. I can promise that I will hold true to my duties henceforth. Well, I can't promise any backgrounds coming from me in the next month, as finals loom nearer. But I can promise being a better mod. Soon this community will be much better!

Oh, and mcgreeniepants, I expect some fabulous background usable art from you due to your new Tablet. ^^

Overrides and what not

Hi! I just joined, but my question is more realted to the LJ overrides than my background. Mine is a bit like like the communties, background on the left, text on the right. But whenever I try to upload it I get a checkered background behind the text. What is the override you use, if you won't mine sharing it with me.

i need some help. i am trying to make my own lj background, i do it in paint, and i get it the way i want, but you have to upload it to a site in order to make it your own background, and all the sites i use make the picture smaller than i want it. i want a site that will keep the picture the right size (background size) so that it doesnt repeat or look too small or anything. does anyone have any suggestions or a photo hoster that doesnt make your pitcures smaller and keeps them the same size??

Monthly Challenge

Okay, so now that we have enough members, I propose a challenge.

Goal: New background.
Theme: "There are some things you can't share with out ending up liking each other" as said by the great JK herself
Color/actor/other specifics: You pick!
Please make sure that, if you use art by someone else, you credit them and ask first.
The only requirement is that JK's immortal words must somehow be in the backgrounds.

Hi. Just joined this community, but at the moment I'm not much good at making backgrounds, since I only really know how to use Paint. ^_^ But maybe I'll actually try to figure out how to use our other programs sometime and make pretty backgrounds. Hope this community grows to be really big. The world needs more HP.

Question: Does anyone have any pretty PoA or Lupin or Sirius backgrounds? I'm trying to redo my livejournal and I need a nice background.
