Have you experienced one or more of the following:
  • Thinking far too much about Harry Potter for your own good?

  • An obsession with the minutiae of canon?

  • Wondering how exactly Halloween could be on a Saturday in both the third and fourth books?

  • Researching historical names for chemical compounds to give a fanfic potion that old-fashioned "wizarding world" feel?

  • Attempting to devise a workable system for Arithmancy?

  • Trying to translate the X-XXXXX system for the creatures in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to a role-play attack rating?

BERJAYA DON'T PANIC! BERJAYA

You simply have a classic case of Harry Potter Nerd Syndrome.  While there is no known cure, this disorder need not keep you from living a full and happy life.  Just grab a Mountain Dew, pull up a chair, get out your calculator, CRC, scratch paper, and D20, and we'll figure this thing out together — at least to a first approximation.

Community Rules:

  1. Be respectful!  We nerds can easily get our feelings hurt, and the last thing you want is to have someone who watches shows on forensic science for fun out for your blood.  ;-)

  2. No non-HP spam.  Any such entries will be deleted without warning and the perpetrators summarily banned.  A note will also be made of the spammer's IP address, for future reference.

  3. Advertisements for HP-related communities, RPGs, activities, essays, theories, etc., are allowed, provided that they are limited to one (1) advertisement per activity.  Repeated entries advertising the same thing(s) will be deleted.
