I just discovered the song "Wishing You Would Stay" by The Tea Party, featuring our very own Holly McNarland.
THis makes me really miss Holly's website. Has anyone heard a peep from or about her recently? I suppose if she were planning on releasing a new album in the forseeable future, she would update and/or repair her website, so I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up.
ADDENDVM: I note with amusement that not only has this community turned into "the ups and downs of hollymcnarland.net", but this post sounds suspiciously similar to my last one here.

I've been playing my Best of Holly mix CD a lot lately. Makes me miss her official website. It was annoying enough that they never updated it, but now it's just plain gone. Bah.
BTW, there is a problem with the graphic on this community's info page. Maybe one of the maintainers can fix it. While they're at it, they may want to add "holly mcnarland" to the community's interests... I mean, I suppose it goes without saying, but it might help get more people here.

Hey there :) I'm new to the community. I have listened to Holly now for about 7 years. My favorite album is Stuff tied with Sour Pie. I have a friend on LJ who kind of looks like Holly. She's also Canadian! I am really excited to be apart of this community and discuss Holly. I was wondering, does anyone know a really good site besides the official Holly website that has CD scans, like the inserts and stuff? I'm trying to look for the picture of Holly on Sour Pie when she's in white shorts and giving the finger.

anyone else pick up the live holly dvd? I pre ordered it for $33, and now it's down to $20 :( But I got the autographed insert (number 99/100! rawk.) I thought it was a great concert, personally, only wish I could have been there!
I did notice that the bass player was kind of.. umm.. uneven. At some parts he has a little off beat. The sound on the mastering was kind of wonky too. All in all, I liked it, but it seemed kind of amateurish next to some other concert DVDs I have (Sarah mclachlan's mirrorball comes to mind, it's everything a music DVD should be).

Its about time someone made a Holly community! She is by far one of the most influentual people in my life. She puts on such an amazing live show. She did a show here in winnipeg back in the spring, and it was really raw and emotional. It was by far one of the best I had ever seen her do. It makes me proud to share a city with her!

My name is Kelly. I've yet to see Holly live (I've just barely missed out on her more than once). I've been a fan since the release of Stuff. My favorite songs are "Stormy", "Water", "I Won't Stay", and "UFO". Who am I kidding, I love them all.

I saw  myrainday's lj post about this journal and of course wanted to join:)
I can't say I've known Holly for all that long. Only since early May or something when pyramidnow sent me this awesome Canadian care package with lots of different stuff...including the Holly cd "home is where my feet are"!!! My Pyramid is such a sweetheart. Anyway I LOVE the album and have been listening to it LOADS since I got it!
Ok so I just realized that I'm lying cause I have heard Holly before and did know her name before getting this cd... cause I once listened to a live version of "numb" that my friend sarah told me to listen to... when everyone sings along... awesome. I never went and listened to more Holly songs back then though so I'm glad pyramid sent me the cd so I could get more into her:)

The first time I saw Holly McNarland was at Edgefest'98 in Vancouver. Before I went to that show I saw her walking her 2 beautiful dogs in downtown..too shy to say hi.
My cousin's best friend use to be her neighbour before she moved to Winnipeg.
I have Stuff and Home Is Where My Feet Are. My fav songs by her is coward and i won't stay.
I saw her last live in June of this year with friends. She does an awesome cover of in the air tonight by Phil Collins. She has an amazing voice.
