I have two questions and I figured you guys would be the best people to ask, as most of you are former Hardliners.

1. I am looking for the last few chapters of a matrix fic titled "All Changed Utterly" by KM/Pentimento. It was originally posted on the WIP section on the Hardline...except the link to the last few chapters doesn't work. If anyone knows where the last chapters are posted or if you have them on your computer and can send them to me at river-styx303@hotmail.com I would be very very grateful. *hopeful smile* It cuts off just as the survivors are summoned by the Oracle and the suspense is killing me. ;)

2. I haven't been able to access the Construct for a while. Does anybody know if it is down for good?

milliways_bar. This is, obviously, his account. ;} I'm the only person I know who is a.) a Cypher fan, and b.) someone who's actually RPing him in a serious context. I could be wrong.

I'd love to chat with anyone who's still obsessed with this great trilogy. I've got a fic I've been working on that I've been away from too long because of writer's block :P but I'm determined to keep writing.

Call me crazy, and a tad bit too hopeful, but wouldn't it be a cool idea to get everyone from the old Hardline into a chatroom one day? Ya' know, just to talk about random stuff... Considering the fact that it would be extremely hard to pull off with things like different time-zones, work, college, events, etc. - Whether it be through AIM, Yahoo, MSN, IRC - I wouldn't care at that point.

Still, I think it would be like one of those kickass highschool reunions (with people you can actually remember).

Heh.*laughs at self* And this is coming from someone who joined the HL 3 or 4 months before it went haywire, and barely anybody knows her.

Anyways... who else thinks it would be a good idea to try and take on? Or, should I just shoot this idea of mine to hell?

I hope this doesn't come across as overly spammage to you all - 'specially since I'm a virtual unknown in these parts (I was a very light poster at the Hardline back around the pre/post-Revs fiasco... never wrote fic, just indulged in all of yours)... but anyway.

I have this... thing... called Life in Death going on at the moment, which I initially started just to explore Neo's character arc between M1 and Reloaded - but has since kind of grown in some weird ways. And while I believe a couple of you have already left some feedback at ff.net (which is very much appreciated), the general quality of criticism from people there is, well, not ideal - it's not telling me what I most want to know... what's working in this fic and what ain't!

So. This is my plea for help - if any of y'all have the time to give this thing a once-over and tell me what is rubbing you the wrong/right ways, I'd be forever indebted. I might even throw in an Oracle cookie.

If anybody has been wondering about Fun Parts 3, it's somewhere between 90 and 95% done. About 20% percent 30% of it is in my notebook, so I still have to transfer that portion into what I have on the computer. I still have the rest of it to think about and put down on paper or something else. After that, I still have to send it off to my betas. Then, after that *yawns* deciding on the crit that I get, I'll edit it, and then figure out where the hell I can post it.

Summary: The path of the One may have ended, but Neo's journey is far from over. (Alternate ending to/continuation of Revolutions)

I love reading and writing fanfic; this is my first attempt at Matrix stuff. Please let me know what you think; I'm always looking for ways to improve and expand on my writing skills :)

I've finally done it. I recently finished a Matrix crossover with Bill and Ted. Here's the link if anyone wants to read it:

I just recently (around 3 o'clock this morning) noticed a huge error somewhere in the fic. Where it says - "I leaned back and something stuck a need. Not one person was there but Smith." What's really supposed to be there is "I leaned back and something inserted a metal spike into the back of my head. When I got into the Matrix... there was no one there but a huge amount of Smiths." And I have also have noticed some typos that I never got a chance to fix, but I did send in another copy of the fic that I re-edited so maybe she can replace what she put originally. But yeah, here it is.. first Matrix fic. Enjoy.

As far as FP3 is going.. little progress has been made, but I'm slowly but surely getting it written.

Most of you probably don't know me 'cause I mostly lurk, but I thought I'd give this a shot. I'm writing bit of Matrix fanfiction. It's a work in progress, but I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to give me a hand in the form of feedback. You don't need to worry about pointing out flaws; I welcome it as long as it's constructive.

A bit of a heads-up on what you're in for if you're interested: It's 27 pages long so far and spends a some time on events that happened in the movies. However, the majority of it is post-Revolutions. Nobody's been resurrected, though, and this is mostly about different characters than the canon ones.

Being jacked into the Matrix, anything that happens within the system to your RSI (virtual self) effects your real body. Like that old axiom that dying in a dream will kill you in life.

You get hit = bloody lip
Shot = tore up inside
Break a limb = body spasms to break the bone
Die = die

You get the idea.

By the same token, good things effect your real body the same way...which begs the question: what happens to a person if they're having sex while jacked in? I don't suppose operators wander around with spare towels...

The point, or question, I'm dancing around here is this hypothetical; a ship crashes and its operator and pilot are killed but all the other equipment still fundamentally works. The only survivors of whatever happened are all jacked in. Eating within the Matrix, to some extent, staves off hunger in the actual body but without actual nourishment, the body will eventually start to atrophy and starve.

How long do you suppose they could survive like that?

Dunno if you Hardliners have heard of this, but I'm beside myself about it - I still can't believe it's happening.

Integral Naked is airing a dialogue between Ken Wilbur and Larry Wachowski, where Larry has agreed to begin discussing some of the central issues of the Matrix films, their creation, and their reception.

The first part of the conversation is available for MP3 download - you technically have to be a member, but thankfully, some good Matrix fans around the net have gakked the MP3 for us - here.

I've only listened to a bit of it so far, but you know, it's just so refreshing, I can't describe how good it feels to be invested in a creative enterprise with such an amazing depth of thought, effort, and heart behind it - and there's still so much to discover. Larry makes an interesting point when he says that he finds it so difficult to watch movies now, because he feels such a lack of ambition on the part of the people who are making them.

Oh, and he also says they want to get two movie critics who hated the films to do a commentary as well. lmao!

This is so effing exciting.

Okay. The maths teachers at my school are cruel and conniving and love setting us time consuming and difficult to accomplish tasks. And then making it count for our final grades.
Part of the most recent assessment, along with having to invent a way of measuring time on an alien planet and interrogating bank managers, we have to collect measurements from 20 people.
I don't have the guts to accost 20 people with a tape measure, to tell the truth. So, please, may I have some help?
What's your height? (in metric or imperial, I'll figure it out)

How long is your left hand? (from the tip of your middle finger to the start of your wrist)

I have to post to all my Matrix friends about something scary. I'm a big Alias fan, and well I write femme slash smut fics. The other day I was using my godfather's computer and stuff. Well he decides to go snooping around off of my username (AgentDesertRose) and read my two Alias smut fics! I can't believe it!! I mean he doesn't know I'm a lesbian and plus it's NC-17 material and I'm 15. I think he said he wouldn't say anything. But who knows. Ahhhh...

It's Kat, aka FierceDesea, FallenAngel, etc. I can't believe this!! My computer is dead for two months and when I finally get it back...the Hardline is gone. I cannot believe it. I started crying. How could I have missed all this!!! It's just so sad. But at least there's still a place for us all to talk. I mean you guys (well girls..*hl*) have all helped me so much through so much shit this past year, and now the board is gone. It's just so weird.

Hello all.

Ok. I've been thinking a lot about the poll results lately. The issue of Boards was very splintered, but most of you expressed some interest in at least giving them a shot. EZ Boards had a promo going on, with a one-month free trial Gold community. So, I went ahead and set something up:

So, we got a 30 day trial run. After the 30 days, it if seems to be working out, I'll renew the membership and we'll have permanent boards. If it's not working out...then the boards can die a natural death, and we'll be back to a complete LJ base, no harm done.

And just for the record, the LJ community isn't going anywhere. The boards are not meant to completely replace it, so if the board succeeds, the LJ community won't be deleted or anything like that. So no worries there.

Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated. Enjoy ^_^
