To some, this is the equation of beauty itself. The Golden Section has been used for thousands of years in art (The Last Supper, the Mona Lisa) and architecture (Notre Dame, Pyramid of Giza)...and in nature (the nautilus shell and the human body).
It is the single greatest representation of the unity of science and the mystical, and is proof these two things are not incompatible as many people think this day in age. Although forgotten by many, this inherent partnership has been known to great thinkers, artists, philosphers, and scientists for hundreds and hundreds of years.
