Gingerbread Victorian

This year I did a Gingerbread Victorian house.  This year I also set up a webcam with a live internet feed so that anyone could watch the construction as it happened.

Every part of the house was edible except for a handful of candy wrappers and the lighting element inside.

The entire construction process with pictures is up at http://www.theinnbetween.net/gingerbreadvictorian.html.

we're coming up on 'that time of year'

i am soliciting your help. i would like to make gingerbread house again this year. it will be the centerpiece of a themed table at a church event. my mom and i always have to top our previous concept. here is the last one we did.

i am having trouble with coming up with a concept. mom is stuck on the idea of doing a scale model of Big Ben, but i am not in love with the idea.

does anyone have any ideas?

any suggestions would be most appreciated!!  : )
Merry Christmas to you all. Here's this year's gingerbread creation! For once I'm really satisfied with it! ;)

Nah, I took pictures of my friends attacking the house like demented Godzillas and it went pretty quickly. People were afraid to be the first, so I did that.

I bet a lot of people were too shy to eat it! When you make something that beautiful many people feel guilty for destroying it, even though that is the intended purpose!

    Thanks!

Although, I did snack on the left-overs and discarded pieces. And it was made to be eaten, so I took it to a party & served it to the guests. Most of it did eventually get eaten.

That is a beautiful job! Great work putting it all together, I bet you needed a lot of patience. And self control to not eat it all!!
