Welcome to get_knitted, the crafting community for anyone who enjoys making things, and talking to others about crafts, crafting, and being crafty! Here you can share your joys and woes, celebrate your successes, ask for advice if you run into difficulties, and keep track of your progress.

Starting in a couple of weeks there will be more or less daily check-in posts where you can report in on how you’re doing with your current project or projects. I’m sure some of us will be working on several things at once.

However, just because there are daily posts does NOT mean you have to check in every day. Do so whenever you feel like it, whether you have any progress to report or not. That can be every day, once a week, once a month, when you happen to remember… Whatever works for you is fine; this is supposed to be a relaxed community, so when the mood strikes, just leave a comment on the latest check-in post.

Every member will get their own member tag, which I’ll add to check-in posts so you’ll be able to find your own progress reports if you should need to.

Participation isn’t restricted to check-ins. Make posts of your own. Share pictures of your projects, in progress or completed, make an introduction post to tell everyone a bit about yourself, give away or swap unwanted items from your stash, ask for crafting advice. In short, have fun!

And if you have any questions or suggestions, head for the Questions and Suggestions Post. That’s also the place to leave a message if you’d like to host the check-ins for a week, right here on the community.
