So, in the begining post of this topic I mentioned that all seventeen biographies of Rowena Ravenclaw include the story of Young Rowena and the Radish Patch. ( Why RadishesCollapse ) But this does not have to be the reason... so if anyone's looking for inspiration, write something about young Rowena Ravenclaw and the radish patch incident.

Do any of y'all remember any mention of how Waizards listen to music besides the WWN? Or any visual refrences in the films (I remember Lupin using a record player, or was it a gramaphone? but I'm not sure whether to count that)? Just trying to figure these things...

For the boards have been fixed!

There may be a few minor casualties, mostly in the area of PMs sent to each other asking about missing posts. We apologize, but it wasn't possible to save *everything* in this. We haven't lost any post data, so that is the important thing.

TFN is open for posting once more. If, for some reason you find yourself locked out of posting (unlikely unless you tried to do anything with the Admin panel) then let one of us know and we'll turn on posting rights again.

Our webhost is currently working to clear up our DNS problems. You may get disturbing browser messages instead of the boards, for a bit. From where I am, I only see the "old" boards.

Our webhost promises that no data will be lost, so sit tight and it should all come good in a bit.

I dunno if this has any bearing whatsoever on what's been going on with the boards but they kept fluctuating on me all day - if I could get to one board then chances are I couldn't get to the rest of them. After flushing out my temp internet files and restarting the computer, everything loaded like a charm and I haven't seen the "old" version of any of the boards. So, if anybody is as impatient as I am, they're welcome to try that and see if it helps them as well at all.

There was an OOC post called "warning", but since the board is down, I dunno what it said?

Some of you may find yourself on the World board and see no posts since August 3. So far, three people have reported this problem to me.

At this point, I suspect that the problem is due to the server move we made early in the morning of Aug 4. I've written our webhost and asked them to check on the situation.

So, if you find yourself on a board with no posts since the 3rd, just leave it alone and it will (we hope) resolve itself in a little while. Blaise Zabini had his problem clear up in about 30 minutes.

Sorry I don't have more information, I'll let you know when I find anything out.



ETA: Four people have now reported the problem. No comments from our webhost yet, but it's late and we may not hear for a while. Thanks for being patient!
