A Prayer for Today

Gracious HeavenlyFather, before the noise begins, I pause and place this day in your hands.

Loosen my grip on my own plans. Teach me to hold this Saturday with open hands—ready to receive what you give, rather than clenching tight to what I demand.

Anchor me in the present moment. In ordinary chores and conversations, awaken my awareness of your presence. Let me notice hidden beauty, the sunlight, the unexpected laughter, and the quiet gift of listening.

When frustration or disappointment comes, meet me there. Replace my irritation with patience, and let your peace guard my heart.

Everything this day holds, I place in your hands, each glad moment an offering of thanks, each hard moment an act of trust. Weave it all together, Lord, into something beautiful for your glory. In the quiet confidence of your love, now and always, amen.

Thank you for stopping by and spending time here. Your presence truly means the world to me. If this piece resonated with you, feel free to like, share, comment, or reblog—I’d love to hear your heart. Until we meet again in this space, I’m sending you love and abundant blessings.

The Dead Hears Nothing

Have you ever noticed how people become brave… only when it’s too late?
At funerals, love flows freely.
Apologies sound clearer.
Gratitude suddenly finds its voice.
But the person it was meant for…
can no longer hear it.

The Dead Hears Nothing

Say it now
Don’t say you love me when I’m dead. Say it now instead.
Don’t weep at my grave. Bleed at my table.
Say it now.
While I can still hear you over the television.
While I still have fingers to text you back.
While we’re both tired and not yet turned into memory.

I have hurt you.
You have hurt me.
That’s the part we leave out of eulogies.

So forgive me now—
raw, insufficient, still breathing.
I’ll forgive you now—
even if it tastes like broken glass.

Don’t save your apology for my obituary.
I won’t read it.
Don’t write me a song when I’m in a casket.
I won’t hear it.
Say it now—
ugly, unfinished, without a witness,
without the roses.

Don’t wait for the coffin to make you brave.
Don’t wait for the silence to make you honest.
The grave won’t break its silence.
Death doesn’t unmute—it just deepens the quiet left between us.
You don’t need a casket to be courageous.
You need a pulse and a mouth that still works.

These are the living years.
So do all you can now.
Because the dead hears nothing.

We delay the very things that could heal us.
We wait until time passes.
Until life forces perspective on us.
But by then, the moment is gone.

Don’t wait for silence to make you honest.
Say it now.

The Cross of Love

Upon the cross, He gave it all,
Enduring pain, responding to the call.
With arms outstretched, He bore the cost,
Of every soul, of all we’ve lost.

The crown of thorns, the cruel disdain,
Yet He endured, with love’s refrain.
In sacrifice, He bled for me,
A gift of grace for all to see.

The veil was torn, the earth did shake,
For love’s great price, He chose to take.
In Jesus’ death, our hope is born,
The Savior lives, our hearts reborn.

The Price of Betrayal

Can you fathom it?
A kiss that sealed a solemn fate,
A friend’s embrace that turned to hate.
Silver for loyalty,
Deception for trust,
A promise discarded, a bond turned to dust.

Truth met treason,
Hope met despair,
Love stood forsaken, yet still chose to care.
Shadows grew longer,
Night stole the day,
The cost of betrayal too heavy to pay.

Faithful, yet wounded,
Pure, yet denied,
Love bore the dagger and never replied.
A sorrow unspoken,
A wound yet to mend,
A love that was shattered, yet loved to the end.

The Mystery of Grace

Can you comprehend it?
A King upon a sinner’s tree,
The sinless One condemned for me.
The Just for the guilty,
The Lamb for the lost,
A crown of thorns at infinite cost.

Mercy kissed justice,
Hope embraced pain,
Life was exchanged so love could reign.
Light shattered darkness,
Victory through death,
A tomb left empty, a Saviour’s breath.

Unworthy, yet chosen,
Broken, yet healed,
Grace overflowing where judgment was sealed.
A story of wonder,
A love so divine,
A paradox woven in heaven’s design.

Wrapped in Grace

Wrapping me in a tight hug,
Your love surrounds me like the morning light,
gentle, unwavering, steadfast.

Through weary nights and aching days,
You hold me still,
whispering hope into my soul.

I do not stand alone—
mercy lingers at my side,
grace walks before me,
and peace follows close behind.

Wrapped in His embrace,
I breathe, I rest, I trust,
I am His.

Reflection of His Grace

When I look in the mirror,
I see more than lines and years—
I see grace woven into my being,
mercy etched upon my soul.

The world sees aging,
but I see a life held together
by hands that never let go,
by love that never fades.

Pain may linger,
but joy rises still.
Weakness may whisper,
but His strength speaks louder.

I smile,
not because the journey is easy,
but because I know—
I am His, and He is mine.

The Song of Love

Draw me close, my beloved,
for your love is better than wine,
fragrant as myrrh upon my skin,
a whisper of heaven against my soul.

Like the lily among thorns,
you have set me apart,
called me your own,
sealed me upon your heart.

The winter has passed,
the rain is gone,
and love awakens like the dawn—
rise with me, walk with me,
let us go to the fields of promise.

Many waters cannot quench this fire,
no flood can drown its light.
For love is as strong as death,
a flame kindled by the divine.

I am my beloved’s,
and my beloved is mine,
held in the arms of unfailing grace,
forever bound by a love unshaken.

Carrier of His Glory

I wasn’t searching,
yet He called—
a whisper in the wind,
a fire stirring deep,
awakening the purpose
woven into my soul.

His hand shaped me,
formed me with grace,
a vessel of strength,
a keeper of light,
carrying heaven’s imprint
in the depths of my being.

Steady as the tide,
soft as morning’s glow,
He placed His glory within me,
not to be hidden,
but to shine—
a reflection of His love,
a beacon in the hands of the King.

I Will Trust You

When the path is treacherous,
And the storm clouds gather heavy,
I will trust You.

In the silence, when answers seem far,
And my heart trembles with doubt,
I will trust You.

Your hands, steady,
Guide me through unseen roads,
Even when I cannot see the way.

I will trust You—
Not because I understand,
But because You are faithful,
And Your love never fails.

So, here I stand—
Not by sight, but by faith’s steady hand.
I will trust you, my Shepherd,
Through every shadow,
Through every storm,
In every step,
In every breath,
I will trust You.
