I finally got a chance to catch up on my DVR shows and saw the Jack Black episode of Community. I don't know why I haven't been watching this show, I'm going to rectify that. I put all the episodes on my ipod and have been watching them this morning. It is awesome.
I've also really gotten in to watching Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I never liked him much before, but I love him on that show. In fact, Price and I have so gotten in to his show, we're planning on going to NYC for vacation and are going to try to see a taping!
I guess you could say I'm trying to be open to giving things second chances/tries.
Things that have failed the second chance/try: The Big Bang Theory. 30 Rock.

I love looking for weird things, reading weird things and watching weird things. Keep that in mind as I present these spectacular findings I came across on Borders while ending over there to buy a calendar. And if you've seen these already... HOW COME NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THEM?!
Twilight and Philosophy: Vampires, Vegetarians, and the Pursuit of Immortality
I'm not going to lie to you. I am soooooo buying this. It'll go great with my copies of The Lord of the Rings and Philosophy: One Book to Rule Them All and Seinfeld and Philosophy: A Book about Everything and Nothing. I don't know why I like these sorts of things, but apparently I do.
About the book (from Borders): The first look at the philosophy behind Stephenie Meyer's bestselling Twilight series. Bella and Edward, and their family and friends, have faced countless dangers and philosophical dilemmas in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels. This book is the first to explore them, drawing on the wisdom of philosophical heavyweights to answer essential questions such as: What do the struggles of "vegetarian" vampires who control their biological urge for human blood say about free will? Are vampires morally absolved if they kill only animals and not people? From a feminist perspective, is Edward a romantic hero or is he just a stalker? (LOLOLOLOL!) Is Jacob "better" for Bella than Edward? As absorbing as the Meyer novels themselves, Twilight and Philosophy: Gives you a new perspective on Twilight characters, storylines, and themes Helps you gain fresh insights into the Twilight novels and movies Features an irresistible combination of vampires, romance, and philosophy. Twilight and Philosophy is a must-have companion for every Twilight fan, whether you're new to the series or have followed it since the beginning.
A New Dawn: Your Favorite Authors on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga: Completely Unauthorized Okay. Now if this is actually done right, it might actually be interesting. A look at how other YA authors view the series? I'm there.
About the book (from Amazon): Fans of the literary phenomenon known as the Twilight series can't help wanting more. A New Dawn gives it to them, inviting readers to join some of their favorite YA authors as they look at the series with fresh eyes and fall in love with Edward, Bella and the rest of Forks, Wash., all over again.
Edited by bestselling author Ellen Hopkins, A New Dawn is packed with the same debates readers engage in with friends: Should Bella have chosen Edward or Jacob? How much control do Meyer's vampires and werewolves really have over their own lives? The collection also goes further: Is Edward a romantic or a (really hot) sociopath? How do the Quileute werewolves compare to other Native American wolf myths? What does the Twilight series have in common with Shakespeare? With contributions from Megan McCafferty, Cassandra Clare, Rachel Caine and many more, A New Dawn answers these questions and more for a teen (and adult!) audience hungry for clever, view-changing commentary on their favorite series.
Now these totally had my laughing in my office:
Defining Twilight: Vocabulary Workbook for Unlocking the SAT, ACT, GED, and SSAT I linked this one to the Borders site because, PREVIEW PAGES! And from what I can tell, this is probably the most depressing study guide ever. And I'm not talking about it's ability to teach. I'm talking about the 150 or so times you have to determine, define, find the synonym to words like pathetic, petulant, chagrined, morose and sullen. Those words came up TONS in that preview.

So I did it... I joined the World of Warcraft. And so far I've only died like twice, so based on my normal style, I'm doing pretty good. I ended up on 3 different servers--(1)one the game recommended, (2) one my husband and friends are on, and (3) one where my father and brother are on. I'm doing Undead Warlock on 2 & 3 and my husband was getting on my case about how boring that must be. Whatever. I love my Undead Warlocks. Because they have minion imps.
The most hilarious moment was, however, when the random name generator on the first character I created (an Undead Priestess on the recommended server) came up Rosalei. How could I not keep that name?! lol A cranky Undead named Rosalei? I'm so there. I couldn't get the name on one of the other servers so I changed it up to Rosalye.
There is a Ravelry guild on WoW, and I'm debating starting a character on there, but I'm not sure because #1, I'm new and #2, wtf? Four characters in the 3 days I've been playing? I can barely keep up with the 2 that I'm concentrating on.
Oh well. I was so involved with running around in the game with my husband I almost forgot about True Blood. I suppose that means I've already got the WoW Geek stamped on my Nerd Passport. :[
And I ended up getting so sucked into yet another twific--Tropic of Virgo. That brings my "currently reading" total to 4. And I wish they updated daily!
AND... Twitter totally suspended my Twitter last Tuesday. Because it was hacked into last Monday night and some douchey hacker posted spam and someone reported it. And though I've followed all their steps to get them to reverse the suspension, they haven't answered. And the person who is assigned to my ticket there is apparently re-instating spammy looking accounts (at least it looks that way according to their twitter). So yay.
Wow. This post got cranky really fast.
ETA: OMG! THIS WEDNESDAY! BOB DYLAN AND JOHN MELLENCAMP! And Willie Nelson. There. Now my post has ended on a high note. :)
