Wrestling at the 1978 Commonwealth Games was the 11th appearance of Wrestling at the Commonwealth Games.[1]

The events were held at the University of Alberta's main gymnasium on the modern day Van Vliet Complex.[2] Also known as the varsity gym, it opened on 17 May 1960.[3]

Canada topped the wrestling medal table by virtue of winning six gold medals.[4][5]
