So my boyfriend is going to Poland to teach for a month, while I remain in Northeast America. I want to make him a mix CD before he goes with the theme of "I love you so much, I'll miss you terribly and I'll be waiting for you when you get back." This is reaching, but does anybody know of even just a line from a song - doesn't have to be a whole song - of really, ANY genre - that essentially says anything remotely close to "I'm going to live the way you did and would have wanted me to, as you are dead and I really expected to have you around to guide me and now the only way I can honor your life is to live mine like you did." And if it helps, "like you did" is...richly. My grandpa just died, we were VERY close, and he just loved to try rare fruits and get dirt under his nails gardening and just...experience things. And I'm looking for a new tattoo.
