Kimball Hall, Casper Dining, and Vidalakis Dining remain without power and repairs will continue through the morning to provide full restoration.
We appreciate your patience while we have worked to restore power as quickly as possible.
A power outage is affecting portions of the Stanford campus. Staff are investigating the cause of the outage. We do not currently have an estimated time of restoration.
Affected buildings include some graduate student residences in Escondido Village and the Rains Apartments; CCSC child care and Bing Nursery School; residences in Gerhard Casper Quad, Schwab Residential Center, Mirrielees, Crothers, Wilbur, and parts of Lagunita; and the Graduate School of Education, Law School, Old Union, and Roble Gym.
Students who are on campus and affected by the power outage can obtain flashlights and charge devices at the Stern Dining main entry off Escondido Road.
In areas where power is out, please take steps to stay safe:
Please do not use candles or other open flames for lighting; they are not permitted in residences.
Make sure any electric heaters, fans and cooking appliances are turned off.
Keep refrigerator doors closed.
Do not attempt to use elevators in buildings without power.
Be aware that some parking areas and walkways may lack lighting.
Any students requiring special assistance after-hours should call the after-hours help line at (650) 725-1602.
Thank you for your patience as we work to restore power as quickly as possible. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
