That time of week, that doesn't require a bunch of typing,
And for the adult-type people,
Commander Salamander on a idiot politician finding out
I hadn't realized this, idiot Europeans actually built hospitals without central air. So it's not just keeping commoners from having it in their houses. The insanity of these Net Zero people is amazing.

Kim takes note of a case of "She shouldn't dress like that
Well, bullshit. She looks good, and carries it off well, so the complainers can shut the hell up.

Today was first day of evaluation and physical therapy,
I did ask if it were best for me to say something or make noises if something became painful, and I was assured that both are fine. So some noises were made, but nothing that required some level of screaming. Close in one case, but not quite.
"Hey, how did this happen?!?
"A few shots fired, what's the big deal?"
"You leave out the shots fired, one cop wounded, and all the rest, don't you?"
They got used to getting away with garbage like this thanks to socialist politicians, and they have real problems with "No, you can't walk away from this here."

Speaking of civil rights in places where they only have the ones the .gov allows,
In the United States, we (still) recognize that. In the EU and the UK, they increasingly do not. And that’s more dangerous to how we treat speech in the US than the abuses that happen in places like China or Iran, because we aren’t likely to turn into China or Iran. But we may turn into the UK, or Germany, or Finland, where they purport to maintain their belief in free expression but have rationalized it into a corner where it can do very little good. So while we’re never shocked at horrifying censorship in China or Russia, we should continue to be shocked by the retreat from liberalism that we’re seeing in the Anglosphere and in Europe. We also need to be vocal in opposing it, because it really could happen here.
Lots of examples in the post.
And why the politicians who push this crap should be labeled traitors to their country.

Civil rights victory,
In the 11-page decision in the appeal of U.S. vs. Comeaux (24-30307) published in the Western District of Louisiana on June 18, the court fell back on the "text, history, and tradition" guidelines of Bruen and the meaning of "bear arms" as explained in the Heller ruling ("wear, bear, or carry . . . for the purpose . . . of being armed and ready for offensive or defensive action in case of conflict with another person.") to explain that "silencers" (suppressors) are bearable arms.
Which can set it up to go to the Supremes.
This will have Starmer, his equally-asshat replacement, and the Labour Party trying to make sure
One of the things that’s become extremely apparent to me after spending a few days here with a group of Americans and other nationalities is how much of a fucking pussy English people are in general when it comes to arms, guns, and basically protecting their nation. We’ve been totally pacified in the UK and through removal of our arms, our right to bear arms, it’s caused a big problem for us.
Another reminder: we can NEVER let the leftists take the 2nd Amendment out of the Constitution.
This I'll take time for
And
On, the media noting Starmer crying?
First, he's important, y'see, unlike those common girls and other victims.
Second, for his time as a 'prosecutor' and PM, yeah, he should pay. But the chances are just about zero, and those are probably, at least in part, tears of relief as he considers that.
Yes, it's Monday, and right now the only thing I can mention is this
Otherwise? The left hates Trump, and if he solved all big troubles in one swoop they still would. Some on the right hate him, too, and the same.
Ah, I'd forgotten the ACLU showing once again that they only truly care about rights they approve of:
“Protecting the rights of marijuana users.” Note that neither the phrase “gun rights” or “Second Amendment” appears anywhere in the ACLU’s email blast to donors cheering their win representing Ali Hemani at the Supreme Court in a unanimous ruling.
The ACLU’s big takeaway here:
The court has sent a strong message that the government cannot criminalize the conduct of large numbers of people by making categorical and unfounded assumptions about whether they are dangerous.
The fact that those people have a civil right to keep and bear arms never seems to enter into the equation for the “nation’s guardian of liberty, working in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and the laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country.”
Well, some of the individual rights and liberties, anyway.
