| Wow, lack of posting. And it's the 50th year, we should have more activity!! (Not.) Does anyone still watch this community? I noticed I'm the last person to post, as well, more than a year ago. What has everyone else thought of this summer/the 50th? | ||||

There hasn't been a post here in a little less than a year and a half. That's disturbing. So. Yes. MACHON '07! *ehem* Oh, real reason why I was posting. No, never mind, I lost it. Who's coming back this summer? Units? Staff? Huh? |

Hi! Bonimer here. Yay, camp's in 4 days! I'm Deb's little sister, Sam. This is going to be my ninth summer, and I'm only eight. How awesome is that? Yes, it's possible, I was there when I was a baby. My parents are Rabbi Jon Hecht and Rabbi Beth Klafter. This is going to be my second summer in Bonim, and yes, Deb is typing all this. Yay. Can't wait to see everyone and camp again. Here's to you, here's to me, over the rafters and we're free. Sam |

Hey Everyone! I know this is uber off topic, but I really, really, really need some help. And Eisner-ites are cool. So I thought I'd ask you. My GSA is going to be having a booth at our district's "Unity Day." Does anyone have any types of info or ideas or anythin at al for us? This is kinda rushed too. Unity Day is the fifteenth. (one week!) Thank you SO MUCH for any and all help! Crossposted to everywhere I could think of. |

Please read this post carefully if you have attended Eisner Camp anytime after 1994... Who do you think of when you think of someone small at camp? Who was not always friendly, but looked adorable from afar? Who was part of a pair, where one was not complete without the other? Who seems to be one part of camp that would never dissapear? If you answered Stoli, Danny O'dells beloved dog to any of the above questions then please keep reading. On Friday September 10th Stoli passed away. I just realized this post sounds extremely sarcastic but in actuality I've been crying for a good hour since I heard. Ask Nina Shiffrin. Although I only really pet Stoli once without being bit, I feel like hes another part of camp thats not meant to change, just like Doug leaving. I've never experienced a year without Stoli. He's just a piece of camp that I hope will be forever remembered. No joke, something needs to be named after him, I think hes as equally a member of our camp community as anyone else. By the way, you can laugh at me. But still... Just remember Stoli for the good things even if it was when he was farther away and you knew he couldnt attack. RIP STOLI :-( |

so i think this only was in olim for me. at night, when it was clear, but about to rain, on the hill. if you hung out with the od's you could look out over the mountains and watch the thunderstorms and the lightning strike across the whole sky. and then you could watch the storm slowly come closer to you, until the last second, when you had a choice, usually decided by the od's of whether to stay and get soaked, or go back to your bunk, where you were actually supposed to be. i think about that ever time it rains, and look forward to being a counselor there next year, just so i can sit on the hill (guys side) and do that. also, 1st session olim, it was ridiculous, and we never emptied our trash. actually, at one point, we just got another trash can, because we were too lazy to empty either of them, and we generally just threw garbage at the can, not in it. so we had a bunk party about 2 weeks in, and we piled 3 trunks on top of each other, and blocked the door with them, so we could put the tv that we had stolen from kkc basement on top of it for prime viewing. it was high quality. however, it was also the same night, our counselor, owen habas, which is just a joke in general, got very sick that night, and needed to be taken out of the bunk. which at this point, was only available through the back door, which lead directly downhill, and was not the best of choices anyway. so doug comes in, because of the emergency, and the first thing he says to us, is "this place is a shit-hole." good times, and we never cleaned it up, with exception of banquet. |
