    Currently fascinated by this:

Aadam Jacobs (born 1967), sometimes called Chicago Tape Guy, is a concertgoer and archivist in Chicago, Illinois, known for recording more than 10,000 tapes of indie and punk rock concerts between 1984 and the 2010s. Described as a “ubiquitous local club presence” and “rabid fan” by the Chicago Tribune, Jacobs captured an estimated 30,000 music sets from at least 3000 music acts […]

A big chunk of the collection is available for free at the Internet Archive.

Even though this blog obviously replicates the design of Twitter/Bluesky/Mastodon et al, I still had to go to the WordPress backend to write new posts, which was fairly annoying.

Luckily there’s no point in suffering like that in the age of AI, so this weekend I built a simplified frontend editor prefectly bespoke to my needs that lets me post anything in just a few seconds.

I expect I’ll shitpost much more from now on, apologies in advance.

Some round buildings I really liked in Rio de Janeiro.

Last weekend I built a super lightweight macOS menubar app that watches Claude Code session state and uses it to control a physical light (this one) that I keep in my peripheral vision.

If you run Claude Code in a terminal (or several ones) that you aren’t actively watching, you can use the flag on your desk to quickly know what’s happening without having to switch windows. It started as a little silly experiment, but after a week of using it I can humbly proclaim: this rules.

NYC got a proper snowstorm back in January. A few photos from that day, for posterity.

We came back to Mexico City on day 9, and on day 10 we just walked around a bit more. We’re now flying back home, the end!

Day four in Mexico City. We spent the day in Chapultepec.

The Basque center was nearby so we also had a couple of kalimotxos. Sorry, not sorry.
