While talking to a friend at work one night, she told me that she's written a number of fictional stories that had been inspired by/based on dreams she's had. I thought that was an awesome idea.
I gave her the address to find LiveJournal and told her there was probably a community out there that was based on that sort of idea.
I have not found one yet so I decided to make one.
This community is for fictional stories inspired by, based on, and written from dreams.
I realize there is no way to really make sure that all stories posted here are actually from a dream that person had, but by checking your interests list to see how much you have in common with this community, it'll help. The more you have in common the better.
Now, onto how to make your posts:
At the beginning of your post you can either post a link to the dream that inspired your fictional story (if you keep a seperate entry for the dream itself) or write a quick summary of the dream. Just for easy reference, here's how to add a link:
You would take out the two * and where the http address is would be the address for your entry (which you can find if you go to the comments page of your entry). Where it says My Dream, you can make that say whatever you choose.
Once that is accomplished, please use the LJ-Cut Tag and type your story after it. Just for easy reference, this is it:

Except you take out the two * and then where it says "Cut off here" you can make it say whatever you'd like... it's really a nifty feature :)
This way, we have the intro to your story first and can read whichever stories we choose to read. Sometimes stories can get lengthy and I'm attempting to cut down on extremely long posts as we all know they can be annoying to scroll past.
So, basically your entry will look like this:

Also, and perhaps most important of all:
ALL STORIES POSTED IN THIS COMMUNITY ARE TO BE CONSIDERED COPYRIGHTED AND OWNED BY THE PERSON POSTING UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED
