Nature with fuzzies and Feline Friday

This Rabbit's foot fern was living its best life in our friend's Sunroom.
It was a gift and just a 'regular' fern when she received it...then it
started growing fuzzy roots much like rabbit feet.

Hares Foot Fern, also referred to as Rabbits Foot Fern (Davallia Fejeensis), is an evergreen perennial fern. It is indigenous to Fiji and a member of the Davalliaceae family. A resilient fern that can live both inside and outside is the rabbit feet fern.

The Rabbit’s foot ferns are named for their delightful furry rhizomes that creep over the top of the plant pot. The growing conditions required are similar to most other ferns including managing moisture levels well. Functional as well as decorative, the rhizomes absorb moisture and nutrients as they crawl across the moist soil.

Mammilaria Elonga
Mammillaria elongata, the gold lace cactus or ladyfinger cactus, is a species of flowering plant in the family Cactaceaenative to central Mexico. Growing to 15 cm (6 in) tall by 30 cm (12 in) wide, it consists of densely packed clusters of elongated oval stems, covered in harmless (although very sharp) yellow or brown spines, and in spring producing white or yellow flowers. It is among the most common and most variable of its genus in nature, and is a popular subject for cultivation
