a show?...

I just moved to Portland med-september and was bemoaning the fact that I've never seen Sarah Dougher play. It looks like that might change tomorrow night :)

This community hasn't had an update in forever. I decided to check out Sarah's website and found out there's been a news update. It talks about her plans for the future and just some things that has happened to her recently (including that she broke her arm.)

I'm not sure if those are new tourdates at the bottom though, it says she'll be at ladyfest the 30th and 31st of July, while the festival this year is 25-28th...maybe I got the wrong ladyfest.

Anywho, I've got two questions. Are there any bootlegs of her around the internet? I just listened to her session on Phoning It In (LINK) and it was really enjoyable...and seeing as she mainly plays on/around the west coast, I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to see her perform, but it would be nice to hear some of her stuff live.
As for the second, is there any tablature of her music available? I'd like to learn a few of her songs but I am somewhat tone deaf when it comes to tabbing out others works.

hi, i'm sophie, 24, dougher fan since 2000, my fave song is "walk away", my fave album, would have to be day one, finding this community is like a pilgrimage to mecca, lol...hoping to meet any other dougher fans on the east coast maybe? it's a shame she isn't doing any east coast shows, but i can't wait to hear the latest lp...

did anyone see sarah play in LA last night? my friend and i went, and it was pretty rad. it was my first time seeing her play. she talked about random things between songs, most of the people who were there were there for the band "mountain goats" or something..... uh.. ... my friend and i decided they were a more indie version of dave mathews, it was weird because there were a lot of people there for them and a different crowd than what we're used to.

but anyway, we talked to sarah afterwards at her merch table where she was selling her new cd "harper's arrow" which is a very beautiful album, different from her others because it's softer sounding, but i pretty much love it. and she talked to us about her new label and had little handouts about it. she was also selling t-shirts and totebags and was excited that we wanted her cd and merch haha. she was very talkative and seemed very excited about her new label and just excited in general to be talking about her label to people who were interested in it haha. she was surprisingly different than what we thought she would be, but it was all good and we agreed that she's way cooler than we thought she was (and i mean, we thought she was way rad before).

oh yeah so i didn't know whether you guys know about this or not but the website for her label is:

she said that soon her cd will be available on it as well as the shirts and bags she had at the show along with whoever else will be on her label.

hey dudes - today while searching for any info i could find on harper's arrow, i found this radio performance from may 11, 2005. she talks a tiny bit about the album, and plays 6 songs. the sound is a bit wonky, but it's great to hear her & (a few of) her new songs. again, the URL is this:
