Ghost in the shell 2 is amazingly awesome.
You must go see it now. I don't care what you say, go see it, but make sure you watch the first one and are able to understand what is going on before seeing the 2nd one, it helps alot. Although you'll still have to pay to see #2 about 9 more times or just watch it many times when it comes out on dvd. Thats the only way to comprehend everything that is going on in the movie. Your definately NOT going to understand it all with one viewing.
GitS2 had a good story line pretaining and linked with the original. There was good action, and more than one great scene with humor that will have you laughing out loud with the person next to you. The movie was able to keep me in my seat interested in what will happen next forcing you to comprehend the shere level of complicated but interesting dialogue. The backgrounds were beautiful, the landscapes open your eyes and mouth in awe, and in one particular scene I thought it to be real, but it was still just an anime once the characters were shown. The music was great, creepy and spine tingling with the vocals from the title song, and the rest just fit together so well. The overall flow or scenes and transitions was good. At one point there is intense action, and next a scene to calm you down for the next almost silent scene that allows you to take in all that you have thus learned from readding the subtitles so far.
I would give Ghost in the Shell 2 a 9/10. The only problem that I had with the movie was that some things were left unexplained, as in they cut to the next scene (mostly near the end) without telling you or showing you how they got to where they are next. So you end up with bits and pieces of the Ghost in the Shell world, but you will not be quite sure how they would fit together on a map.
Wow, this movie was so good that I can still remeber what I saw, and yet I wouldn't mind watching it again right away, it's definately not one of those watch it once every 5 years movies, this movie demands to be viewed over and over until your mind is content with the delivery of information, which in reality will never happen.
