After months of inactivity (almost 7 months in fact), I will officially be closing this community. I believe the members have moved on to better and greater things. The community thanks all those who have participated in the past and those who have helped keep this community alive.
If there is a protest in the community closing, then I will reopen it. However, unless a need or time comes when this community should be reopened, this community is:
I purposely left the last trivia up for an extended period of time because it was worth so many points. Unfortunately, due to lack of participation, I felt it was time to close it and move on.
If there’s anyone left out there, here’s the new question. I hope y’all are well and looking forward to summer as much as I am. And if you happen to be dropping in at WDW later this summer, you might spot me there. lol
After the success of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Walt Disney needed to expand his studio on Hyperion Avenue in Los Angeles. Where did his studio relocate? [+1]
Has anybody been watching The Voice this season? If you have, you undoubtedly saw Tony Lucca's grace under fire, as his former Mouse Club castmate Christina Aguilera offered her, um...controversial opinions on his talent. Eeesh. *shakes* I love the Lucca and am sad he didn't win, but if the last couple decades are any indication, he's got plenty more musical surprises for us fans. :)
I'm also sad that, aside from our lovely mod mmrobitussin, nobody answered my trivia quiz, which was worth up to a whopping 21 points. :( It's already been up there for almost a month and still no response.
I'm leaving the quiz up for the remainder of this week only. Where are you guys? *sniffle* I miss you. :)
Go here to answer the trivia and have a Fantasmic week!
It appears that olivejz28 has taken a small hiatus due to real life situations. I would like to tell you that we haven't closed, nor are we going to anytime soon. Instead, I would like to propose for you to insert your comments on how to make the community alive again!
For every relevantly decent suggestion, I'm willing to give out a claim! Therefore, post away!
The Academy Award nominations were announced this morning. Thoughts? Representing the Mouse House, "Man or Muppet" from The Muppets was nominated for Original Song.
And speaking of the Oscars, Beauty and the Beast continues its run in theatres. It was the first Disney animated feature to be nominated in the Best Picture category.
Once last reminder, there's only one more week left to pick up your free holiday claims. Go here before the post expires January 31, 2012.
Have a terrific week! :)
What 1964 Disney movie starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, featuring animation and live action, won 5 Academy Awards including Best Actress and Best Original Song?
I was supposed to be at the Mouse House this long holiday weekend, but ish happens. *sigh* I guess not having to work, the free litho, and my favorite Disney animated movie will do. For now. :) Who else has seen Beauty and Beast? Better in the 3D or is the medium totally played out?
And don't forget to get your holiday claims here. This offer expires on January 31, 2012.
Have a wonderful week! :)
The musical notes behind the registration desk at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter spell out the first verse of what song?
Piggy backing on last week’s trivia: What Disney artist created the Partners statue located in the hub of the Magic Kingdom® Park and Disneyland® Park?
Happy Holidays (or winter if you don't celebrate anything)! It's that time of year again where we give out some awesome claims! This time's set of claims to give away are the following:
1) 1 blue or white claim (because green and red are getting old) 2) 1 family oriented claim (i.e. disneyland, riding autopia with your dad, etc.) 3) 1 free claim to start off the new year!
Claims are all or nothing! That means you have to follow all the rules or get no claims at all! Stake your claims by January 31, 2011
