Hi,
I am new to this community, and love off-the-beaten path music. I also do music reviews for an online community of queers into neofolk, industrial, synthpop and ethereal music, called Heathen Harvest. |

Dear friends and lovers of music,
The Ides of March approach...Heed the warnings and join us for a breezy Taint this Sunday, March 6th at 9pm. Hosted monthly at DC 9 (at the corner of 9th and U), Taint is an alternative queer event for boys and girls of all persuasions. 9pm to close, No Cover (21 and up).

I posted a little mix in my journal, it's pretty schizoid and will probably work only with iTunes...

Hiya, I'm actually a Baltimore queer (c'mon, go ahead and laugh, let it out) but I'm looking for cool places to dance to good music (rather than chick pop, which I also respect).
Any ideas? Black Cat? |

My name's Jorge (pronounced Whore-hey) and I'm 22 and patently ugly. |

| | The Animal Collective - "Kids on Holiday" | ] | I know there are queers out there living in D.C. who cringe when they hear the music that's played in Cobalt. I know there are creative queers making their own music, painting, sculpting, acting or hell, just going to concerts at the Black Cat or the 9:30 club. This is my search for all of you, it's cool having straight friends and all but where is my tribe? Where are those intelligent and informed fags and dykes creating and analyzing? If you question the status quo or if you have a plan for an alternative, let's hear it.
I'm a recent transplant from Berkeley, California and San Francisco, I used to live in a co-op full of creative and interesting people. I'm thirsting for people who march to different drums (and hate cliches like that one) and most of all with a sense of humor. Dance with me queers... |
