There are spoilers flying around like mad for the next two Doctor Who eps, and so far I've been good and not peeked, but, man, is it tempting--especially after last week's trailer.
In other news, our dryer is broken. Well, that's not quite accurate: It's working fine; it just doesn't know when to stop working--when it gets to the end of a cycle it keeps right on going. The only way to stop it running is to not let the door close completely. It's annoying, but it could be much worse. I called Sears on Monday and scheduled a repair person for this morning, I thought, but when I called to check, they said, no, it's Friday. What bugged me about that was, they didn't even apologize; they just assumed that I wrote the date down incorrectly. Nothing like a company with the attitude, "The customer is always wrong." Sheesh.
But, anyway, with any luck on Friday we'll have a dryer that stops when it's supposed to. And at least I can do laundry in the meantime.
And, in the really good news department, it looks like that company I've been talking to is going to hire me to do some work. It's not finalized--I'm going to be talking to the guy on Friday--but it looks good. They'll be paying me on a project basis, so I honestly don't know how much I'll make over the next few months, but it should work out to a decent hourly rate, at least. Yay for that. I'll just be happy to have something else to put on my resume.
