Well, for one thing, Corey has a blog, and is currently blogging about the recording the band is doing. Which sounds great.

For three, they seem to be playing in NYC on 1/13 at something called globalFEST (at least according to their booking agent's site), which is WAY soon. I envy anyone in New York who can make it to this show.

its line-up. Cellist Rushad Eggleston will perform his last show with the

I was already planning to go to the Northampton show, and now it looks like I'm going to have to at least make it to Joe's Pub too. If I'm really adventurous maybe I'll go to Fall River or Cambridge too.
Everyone should try to go to these shows. Try to see the band one last time in its original form, with Rushad! It will be worth it. Just be sure to make reservations because I'm sure these are going to sell out.

There is also this article in the NYT. It talks about Crooked Still, The Mammals, The Duhks, Uncle Earl, and a bunch of old-time musicians. Corey also told me yesterday that the Times is going to review their show tonight at Joe's Pub.

So, the new album's been out for a while - do you guys have it yet? Thoughts?

I am loving it; I only wish it had more than 11 tracks on it. My favorite right now is "Wind and Rain." It's a beautiful song, and I love the story...more than a little effed up, if I do say so...but that's my kind of folk song, anyway.
