Oi, it's a pity this community ain't more active because it's truly an awesome concept. But anywho, I'm Artemis but you can call me pretty much whatever you please (of course doesn't mean I'll respond to it =D). I'm an animator-in-training, love cartoons, love horror and gore and basically all things that are freakishly contradictory. Music-wise, I'm a huge Morrissey/The Smiths fan, love Green Day and The Killers. However, I've found that with music I fall more in love with songs than the artist in general.
Anywho, I currently suffer from an anxiety disorder which isn't very nice which you'd know if you'd ever felt anxiety before (just imagine that feeling pervading every minute of everyday. Yeah) and it's kinda scrambled my life up something fierce. I'm telling ya'll this because the song I'm posting is in direct relation with this feeling. If someone asked me to describe myself, I'd just send them this song because it's pretty much the dictionary definition of me.
Colin Hay - Waiting for my Real Life to Begin
Any minute now, my ship is coming in I'll keep checking the horizon I'll stand on the bow, feel the waves come crashing Come crashing down, down, down, on me
And you say, be still my love Open up your heart Let the light shine in But don't you understand I already have a plan I'm waiting for my real life to begin
When I awoke today, suddenly nothing happened But in my dreams, I slew the dragon And down this beaten path, and up this cobbled lane I'm walking in my old footsteps, once again And you say, just be here now Forget about the past, your mask is wearing thin Let me throw one more dice I know that I can win I'm waiting for my real life to begin
Any minute now, my ship is coming in I'll keep checking the horizon And I'll check my machine, there's sure to be that call It's gonna happen soon, soon, soon It's just that times are lean
And you say, be still my love Open up your heart, let the light shine in Don't you understand I already have a plan I'm waiting for my real life to begin
On a clear day I can see, see a very long way
