Are you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.

Did anyone else like that australian band The Beautiful Girls? Mat McHugh, the singer, put out a solo album and it's pretty good. You can check out some of the music here: http://tinyurl.com/d4zxhg

First, does anyone know of any bluesy songs with really long and pretty kick-ass harmonica solos? I heard one while at a restaurant yesterday and the harmonica was ripping it up, but I didn't know whom the song was by. It's definitely not Blues Traveler, but the harmonica is sort of John Popper-ish. Second, I'm looking for some really guitar-heavy songs. Stuff like Zeppelin's Immigrant Song or some Soundgarden. Preferably has a solo. Thanks!

I need a cd for musical chairs for a bunch of 3rd and 4th graders. It has to be Halloween themed. Any suggestions? Thanks.

what's some of the best video game music that you've ever heard? Or any other versions that you particularly like. Of course there's One Winged Angel (FFVII), and Group X's version of Super Mario, as well as that Japanese guitarist guy's.

I have a few Pearl Jam, like MFC, Rearviewmirror, and In My Tree. Any other suggestions?

What are some of the craziest, most insanely amazing instrumental feats you have ever heard or seen in music. I'm talking modern virtuosic ventures. Thanks.

Hey, a question for some of you music theorists out there (and others who know).
I'm compiling a list of songs that are built around a certain chord progression. "A list of songs all featuring the same chord progression?? You must be crazy!"
Well, okay. It's not the exact same chord progression, because it's in different keys. But the pattern is the same. The chord progression in the key of C is C-G-Am-F. Some songs built around it...
Blink 182 - Dammit, and some others The Beatles - Let It Be (verses) Bush - Glycerine Bush - Machinehead (the chorus...this one's in E flat) Journey - Don't Stop Believing (key of E) Dead Moon - It's Okay The Police - So Lonely Jars of Clay - The Valley Song (certain parts of it) Fort Minor - Where'd You Go (key of A)
As you can see, artists of varying genres have all ripped off the same chord progression. It's catchy. So does anyone know of any other songs built on this progression? Thanks.

Name-Kittie Interests-music (of course) bass guitar, writing, reading, soccer, outside, snowboarding, concerts, and anything involving music basically. Favorite Bands-there is a list on my journal and in my favorite...(to many to type over and over again.) If you could meet someone from one of your favorite bands, who would it be? Flea from the Chili Peppers because he was the reason that I started playing bass in the first place...he has alway been my influence And... What do you love most about the music you love and live for? What don't I love about it? Everything little part of songs that make me feel so much for what they are and what they do to make me feel every emotion at one time. I remember the first song that made we want to cry and scream and laugh and...fly basically. It was one of the most amazing thing ever!!! *Kettle Whistle by Jane's Addiction*

I know this is a bit delayed, but I figured I'd drop in to tell you that I went to Live 8 in London and it was the most amazing experience of my life. Pink Floyd is my favorite band and being able to enjoy their presense and performance cannot be described in words. I bawled. The entire concert was amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful with 1000s of people singing together and dancing together and laughing together and it really felt as if everyone wanted to help out the African Poverty which is awesome.
I actually got tickets last minute. I live in America and I told everyone that I'd get there. I'm soooo incredibly grateful.

If you're interested in Nirvana, then PLEASE SIGN this petition for Kurt. i know you might think its useless.. but think of how much more music he could've given us?.. How he could've lived his life with Frances.. Even if you think it will do nothing, why not sign it anyway?... Kurt shouldn't be the only one who knows what really happened that day..
