guys.....i can totally get you a show down here! The bartender at neptunes came into my store and we talked for a while and she said it would be so easy. She gave me the number of the guy to call. She came back in today and gave me some flyers of a show coming up, and asked me again if i had called the booking guy. It's basically up to you when you want the show....so talk about it and let me know asap! if you even want to. It's nothing big, but it's a chance to get your name out somewhere else! ok that is all...

So. It's been a while since a post/update in here. So I thought I'd break the ice and let people know exactly whats going down. We're currently writing all new material and getting John practiced up for the show. He's doing great and we promise a good show. Also, we're going to finish the recording of "Balancing Act" tomorrow hopefully and that'll be up for you kids to hear soon. In the meantime, check out www.downonluckmusic.com/torchfest.html . Thats all for now.
Love,
Greg

ok seriously. this whole boycott thing. not gonna help or hurt anything. so you might as well be there because itll be fun. and plus, its not fun playing a show without our friends there. joe only stops people when he see's people throwing fists. personally, i dont see the point of anything beyond a regular push people around pit, or a hardcore "clear out a circle" pit being necessary. throwing punches at a show is just stupid because all that does is start fights. example: walls of jericho's set where there were at least 3 fights because of it. now im not saying that those big fat egos punching each other is as serious as our friends spinning around with balled fists, but the bouncer isnt allowed to discriminate. he doesnt know who's friends and who isnt, and whos going to start a fight and possibly break something or pull a weapon. just let us play a show, and the bouncer do his job, and joe run a decent club. and can you blame a club owner for bringing back bands that bring in money. apparently you dont know the history of greensboro. no venues around here (except for the tavern) have ever stayed open for more than a year or so. this place is known as the musical wasteland. so i can see why he would only want bands on the show that he knows will bring people.
p.s. if you ever talk to joe you'll know he's a cool guy.
