Another sunset which caught our attention, not just because of the developing color, but because of the speed at which the small clouds were moving. The 2 strands of clouds over to the right hardly seemed to move at all. But we could see the small puffs speeding by.

In just a few minutes they were out of sight and the color had cycled as well.

A few weeks ago we had storms throughout the afternoon and evening. Luckily no tornado came near us, but we got a lot of rain. I spotted these ducks across the lake and then noticed how little of the retaining wall was still appearing

For reference, a few days earlier, I had taken the photo of the mama and babies, and you can see what the lake level usually looks like.

I love when that happens. I think it’s usually just different layers of air moving at different speeds at different altitudes. It’s such a cool thing to notice when you’re sitting there watching the sky for a while. Aaaaand now I really want to go sit by a lake and watch baby ducks.
