It's funny how hard it is to break the cycle of not posting. But I'm in a much more upbeat place and wanting to reconnect with everyone again. The announcement of the 20th anniversary of The Sentinel coming up in a couple years startled me (20 years!!) and then the 500th prompt coming up on
sentinel_thurs has me all nostalgic (I am definitely participating with the recs). I haven't written in quite a while but two years seems like a nice chunk of time to plan to finish off some of my series. They niggle at me a bit and it would be nice to finish them. Well, we'll see.
In my personal life, I've pulled myself together enough to start seriously looking for work. I dropped out of the job market to take care of my elderly mother when my dad died back in 2000. The reality of the economy and the changing technology really hit me hard. But I've finally adjusted and have enough self-esteem back that I think I can interview well once I get a darned interview. So psychologically I'm not hermiting nearly as much and my teaspoon of sociability has grown into perhaps a whole 1/4 cup! *g* So says the introvert.
Oh, and fannish news. About a week ago ks_lee posted some podfics she's done of my two little Perry Mason slash stories. If you're interested, here are the links:
