"Oh, you're so LUCKY to work in a bookshop!"

Yes we are. And no we aren't. Usually on the same day.

This is a community for people who sell books for a living. You may be a bookshop owner, manager, unpacker or counter employee. You may work online, in a huge faceless chain or in a tiny musty shop. You may be a veteran or still bouncy about the smell of all that paper. In any case, welcome!

All that's required is that you know about bookshops and book sales from the less-glamorous "other side of the counter." This is a global community and includes booksellers from many different places. It is not a community for any one shop, nationality, or chain.

Do not give the name of your shop or chain in any unlocked post. You may use a made-up name, or just give enough background information to clarify the post. Please, avoid giving more real-life information than necessary!

Be sweet, be neat, don't spam and don't crosspost. Kick off your shoes, have a seat and join in!
