| Makeup Sites? |
[23 Apr 2006|07:18pm] |
Hello All! This is going to be x-posted to many makeup coms. so sorry :S.
Anyway, for my school's Prom, the theme is Masquerade Ball....and While I"m not going, I'm doing the makeup for several of my friends who are going, and who I know aren't going to be wearing Masks.
I want to do really crazy/out there/themed makeup looks for them, and am currently going through makeup_tutorials.....but i was wondering if any of you knew of any sites specifically aimed towards more freestyle Makeup and/or Masquerade/Mask type makeup??? if so, could you please leave me some links???? Thank you!

| Need (Fast) Help Dye-ing Hair..... |
[06 Feb 2006|06:30pm] |
First post!!!
Anyway. For reasons I dont really plan on displaying.......I need to dye my hair. again. This saturday i just dyed my hair with a semi permanent hair dye from Hot Topic (not sure what brand) but it was bright red, and i believe it glows under blacklight, if that helps. Anyway, I need to dye it a natural color.....and I got Loreal boxed Medium Golden Brown (its called, but it's a pretty dark brown) in permanent dyes. Anyway, I haven't done it yet.....but I'm wondering if this is a really bad idea, if it will or wont turn out, etc. and i'm wondering if there's any one of you who can help me with an answer...
(sorry, if this isn't where I should post this, mods....I just need quick help)
much appreciated

| My Lip Stuff Lip Balms |
[24 Jan 2006|11:11pm] |
Fantastic! I just made my second order. For anyone who likes lip balm, these are worth every penny, and then some. The texture rocks! Smooth, fluid, silky soft. And, the scents/flavors are to die for! My current favorite is Chocolate Mints. The more you use these balms, the better they get. Handmade, Earth friendly, no animal testing. And, Brea, who runs MLS, is a doll. Check 'em out!

They have some gorgeous colors of loose shadow. I've heard good things about this company, but have yet to order. I'm thinking about it though -- that Lipstick Cherry loose shadow is really speaking to me.

| For ANYONE who colors their hair... |
[02 Jan 2006|11:20pm] |
Sally Beauty Supply has an AMAZING new line of permanent hair color. It's by Ion, a Sally exclusive line, and features the absolute newest in hair color technology. I've switched and I strongly encourage anyone who colors their hair to give it a try. They offer a comparison chart, so you can find a color(s) comparable to what you may already be using. This color is truly spectacular. I can no longer wait to color my hair, because it feels so good after I'm done. My color stays truer, longer, my hair is unbelievably soft and manageable, and even my over-processed ends are sparkly and shiny. I've used it a couple times now, and find the cream adds more depth and richness to my hair, and it definitely seems to work better with the Ion developer. Not to mention, the developer has a fresh, fruity scent, so one is not overwhelmed by the ammonia smell of the color.
Ion has also introduced a Three Step Emergency Repair Kit, for damaged and over-processed hair. It guarantees to leave hair in virgin-like condition, which isn't really possible, but it did get my hair damn close. Each kit contains one bottle of each step, but each individual application only requires a fourth of each bottle. I like to use it before and after coloring to help equalize porosity, seal in my color and condition/minimize damage. I've shopped at Sally for years and have never cared much for Ion products, but between this product and their hair color, I'm a believer. DEFINITELY worth a try!

hi. I'm new.
My lj is very entertaining for you. Hit me sometime, then check it out. yo.
In loo of hallow's eve, just wanted to let you guys know that your local RITE AID is selling glow in the dark nailpolish/lipstick for just $5. I've used the nail polish, and it works very well, especially under the blacklight.
lipstick-not so much, but does turn lips pale white with green flakes.
It comes in a reuseable glow in the dark skull- and they have black, but no glow, so no show. Yo.
thank you and goodnight.

| Thoughts...? |

It's been a while. Sorry, all. Life keeps getting in the way. ;)
Soooo...
If you knew you were going to be stranded on some deserted, exotic island with a delicious dude/dudette, what one cosmetic item would you absolutely have to have to make a good impression on the babe sharing your sandy pad...? Why do you feel this item is a must have...?

If you're using a metal eyelash curler, you can blast it with your hair dryer before using it, to help set the curl in your lashes. After heating, you can touch it to the inside of your elbow to make sure it's not too hot to use around the eyes.

Before waxing, dust the area to be waxed with a light coating of talcum powder. The powder will absorb moisture, helping wax to adhere to hair, as opposed to skin. You can buy a special, pre-epilating powder if you wish, however plain ol' baby powder works fine as well.

For lips that are really dry and in serious need of some TLC, massage an eye cream into them at night before bed. Eye creams are super concentrated and rich in all kinds of good stuff that will help moisturize, firm, smooth and make lips soft and kissable. At the very least, your lipstick will go on a hell of a lot better. ;)
