Blackletter was raised in the wilds of the desert far from human civilization. This contributed to a shy, emotionally repressed, and socially inept personality. Upon entering college this reclusive individual finally began to join the human race. Thus having discovered a home, he decided never to leave Academia and is currently pursuing a PhD in Classics. He has taught beginning and intermediate Latin since 2004. He recently passed his PhD Comprehensive Exams and is now working on his dissertation.
Blackletter is transgender/genderqueer and asexual. He is a quiet but avid participant in the fandom culture and has been involved in fandom since 2000.
