Bae Young Joon: new pictures! With Dogs!!

I am still watching "Barefoot Youth" and it is a very good drama, but admittedly old (as in dated special effects). The worst thing in my version are subtitles that seem to make little or no sense ,as if they are produced by one of these translating programs. Still - much good to say about the drama itself.
Now I am craving for more Bae Yong Joon - can't he make a new drama? Soon? or will I have to resort to watching "Winter Sonata" anime. :P

Some of the new excellent Bae Yong Joon pictures are out, with two gorgeous DOGS!!! I want the dog on the left , a Siberian husky (?) all for myself.

I'm new here and I recently discovered Bae Yong Jun after watching the wonderful series The Legend and Winter Sonata. And I want to know more about BYJ <3<3<3<3 My name is Karla and I love Yonsama :D Thanks for the community ^_~

Bae Yong Joon has cut his hair!!!!!!!!!! And Barefoot Youth

Oh noes!!!! or OR YES!!!!!?, my beloved spectacle-wearing Bae Yong Joon has had a haircut and he is not wearing a pony tail anymore, as you can see on the pictures below. He is photographing Korea's first lady here (she must be a fan).

First Ever DamSu Fanmix!

Well, this should not come as a surprise to my fellow DamSu shippers! haha!
I want to encourage everyone to post their own fanmixes. Be it about DamSu, or just for BYJ or for any of his dramas, please...we'd like to hear your fanmixes! :D

Anyway...please enjoy my first fanmix for DamSu.

Disclaimer: The first artwork you'll see is done by another BYJ fan. I forgot who she is but I do know that she posted this in one of the BYJ galleries. I just added the title.

Basically, this fanmix is inspired by the part in TWSSG where Sujini left until Damdeuk found her. :D.

byj goodies! :D

I have not posted in such a looooonnnnggg time! Anyway. I had an encore run of TWSSG for two straight days. And so I can't help but post these gorgeous artworks by kellybyj over at joonsfamily.

Anyway, it's amazing how BYJ can take over KOTW,BV and EoE. I mean, I was in the middle of watching KOTW when I suddenly had this urge to watch TWSSG and bam! Non-stop DamSu for 10 hours straight! hahaha!

And..yeah, DamSu still tops my OTP! hehe...Sorry, Jumong and Seseono! hahaha!

No news yet on his latest project Drops of Wine but as soon as something comes up, I'll post it here.

Anyway, these pictures were posted by sis deka_if over at soompi. I actually haven't checked out the local branches of The Face Shop here in our country. Silly me! Hahaha! Well, once I do so, I'll take a pic of it (with myself maybe) and post it here,too!

Hello!

Hello! My name is Mallory ^^ I joined a bit ago, but haven't had a chance to intro myself yet.
Obviously I love Yonsama :D I saw him first in Winter Sonata, and fell in love.
So, in celebration of that fact, and the fact that it *is* winter, I come bearing a gift.
I don't remember where I got this scan of BYJ, but I made the wallpaper.

Better late than never...

It's been ages since the last time I posted here! I've been such a lousy Baesister! Anyway...we all know just recently that Yonsama was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit and was also appointed as The Ambassador for the Korean Tourism. In case you haven't seen the pictures...here are some from that event.

BYJ was awarded the flower crown cultural medal for the occasion of the Cultural day commemoration ceremony on the 18th. A helicopter was used on this day when he arrived.

Before attending the ceremony he went to the wedding of the couple who were his co stars in TWSSG. It is unavoidable to use a helicopter for his movements because of time constraints.

While many fans watched the event, BYJ participated in the event till the end and left the event by car.

It is also a place where BYJ's services to South Korea was formally recognized by the government and was awarded a cultural medal. On the other hand upon hearing the news on this day, hundreds of citizens aside from hundreds of Japanese fans formed a large crowd.

Hallyu (Korean wave) star Bae Yong-joon has been given the Hwa-Gwan Order of Culture Merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at an event celebrating the 2008 Culture Day.

``I will further think about my roles as an actor and celebrity. I will also do my best to promote Korea in the future. I thank everyone here and abroad who allowed me to stand here on this honorable stage,'' he said after receiving the merit at a ceremony held at the Cheongju Arts Center, North Chungcheong Province Saturday. This is the first time an actor has been given the honor, which is divided into five categories, Geum-Gwan, Eun-Gwan, Bo-Gwan, Og-Gwan and Hwa-Gwan.

Having such a tight schedule, the actor arrived by helicopter, rushing through some 400 Japanese fans who have been waiting for him in front of the arts center prior to the event.

Bae, 35, was given the honor as he has continuously devoted his work and himself to promote Korean culture to the world through dramas, his restaurant business and other cultural activities.

His drama ``Winter Sonata (2002), in which he starred with another top star Choi Ji-woo, was a great success and was aired in more than 20 countries, catapulting him to become one of Korea's most successful actors. His other works include drama ``Taewangsasingi'' (The Four Guardian Gods of the King) (2007) and movie ``April Snow'' (2005). Bae also launched a Korean traditional restaurant ``Gosireh'' in Tokyo in 2006, along with introducing Korean kimchi ``Gosireh Cabbage Kimchi'' to Japan through supermarkets and department stores.

Bae recently became the nation's goodwill ambassador in a bid to bring more than 10 million tourists here and also take Korean tourism to the next level.

The actor also visited Munkyeong, North Gyeongsang Province and other cultural cities to research and further work on a Korean guide book he is planning to publish soon.

Along with Bae, designer Andre Kim and singer Jang Na-ra were also present at the ceremony to receive the Bo-Gwan Order of Culture Merit and Today's Young Artist Award, respectively.
