Seeking local Aussie designers to dress our models for the Estreya Accessories shoot.
Do you know anyone who might be interested? This would be an especially great opportunity for a fashion student to showcase some of their designs. Your clothing will appear on the Estreya website with full credit to you as the designer, plus you'll receive a VIP invitation to the exclusive launch event to be held at the awesome Luxe Bar in Mt Lawley later in the year, where you can hobnob with the bigwigs - an excellent networking opportunity!
WA / Perth-based preferred, but Australia-wide designers considered so long as the logistics of us using the clothing can be worked out.

Good evening boys and girls, my name is Mary and have just joined for the sheer interest in models, makeup and photography. One of those in particular.. NOW I don't know if this has been asked or if anyone will even be kind enough to help me out here.
I'm actually interested in where the makeup artists in the community who live in Bris have studied and if they could recommend any colleges/schools to study the art of.
I've dipped my toes in massage therapy and hospitality courses but find that my true calling is in neither.
Any feedback would be great. Books you could recommend would too.
I'm hoping this isn't off topic. Take care.

Hiya all,
I'm new here so here goes nothing! (And I haven't broken any rules or the like...)
I'm trying to build up my portfolio and I'm looking for a photographer who can do a really good package deal that has the whole hair,makeup etc etc.
I have a pretty strong idea of what I'd like in mind and I hope someone can help me out!

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) is holding a photo competition based on the theme - ‘Dignity and justice for all of us’.
We're searching for images that reflect the theme of the competition and provide a unique approach to a human rights subject. For some, the photograph will record a moment that celebrates dignity and justice; for others, it will capture fundamental rights and freedoms being recognised; or it may be an observance of what human rights means to you.
Entry categories - under 18 female, under 18 male, 18 and above.
Great prizes and entry is free.
Entries close 31 October 2008.

Looking for actors / models in the Western Sydney region for a series of adverts for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Asia/Pacific), five adverts in total of 45-60 seconds length and one 15-20 minute cinematic short. Know any animal lovers who'd be willing to donate some of their time to save thousands of bears from torture?
They get to be kidnapped, beaten, manhandled, chained to a wall, hosed, surgically mutilated and kept in a TINY cage until they die a horrible death.
Okay, they don't really, but that's what five people will be acting out, and dozens of others will be required for the cage farm scene. Acting or modelling experience is not neccesary, just an avid interest in stopping the horrific treatment of animals on Chinese bear bile farms and a willingness to assist with this project is what's required.
Shooting commences on or around the 1st of June, project completion by 12th of July.

HAIR MODELS NEEDED!
Head Over Heels hair and make-up is in need of hair models for staff training, hair shows and photoshoots.
Staff training could be anything from hair colouring/cutting/styling and even make-up. All services are of no charge except colour services which require a product fee [anywhere between $25-$50 depending on the service] and training will generally take place on either monday or tuesday afternoon/evening.
If you would like to be appart of any hair shows or photoshoots - no experience is necessary and both females and males can apply.

I'm feeling creative latley. This is a good thing. I want to embark on more TFP photoshoots. Ones that a lot of planning and forethought go into. Not so much a turn up on the day and hope for the best.
I'd love a roll call of other Sydney people who are available to collaborate either weeknights or weekends. On shoots where we get a number of people together and really make something exciting happen.
I'd love to work with people I haven't worked with before, as well as familiar faces.

I love working with people who create their own style, don't copy what's been done a million times before.
I'd love to work with:
-Models who are brave enough to try something new
-Hair Stylists
-Makeup Artists
-Fashion Stylists
-Crazy Fucked Up Exhibitionists
-Fashion Designers who do their own thing
-Milliners
-Jewelery Designers
-People who would like to give a helping hand on the day (help out with styling etc)
-People who love to sew/paint backdrops/create sets and would be interested in collaborating
-Dancers
I don't particularly want to do any more pinup/burlesque styled shots as I think that's been done to death. I'm also pretty over the goth/corsetry/leather/pvc as well unless the location is outstanding.
I ask all models to sign a standard release at the beginning of the shoot before I click the shutter. A copy of this can be available prior to the shoot day for you to read over, and I would rather this than waste both our time otherwise.
