Last week I visited our capital, Budapest, for a little family trip. I live about 180 kms from it, which is a good 2 hours ride. Thus, I don't often go there. I decided to take the opportunity this time and try to take photos that could help me show it off to those of you who have never been there. I have a love-hate relationship with Budapest. I dislike it because everything seems to be centralized there, and people seem to think that Hungary IS Budapest. It's not. On the other hand I love it because it's beautiful. It's a really old city and the architecture is beautiful. I'm breaking this entry up into two parts. The first, containing 36 pictures, is under the cut. The other I'll post tomorrow.

I did a friends cut. I have no hard feelings for anyone, so that wasn't the reason. I hope it remains mutual. Cut were those who:

-have been inactive
-we stopped communicating altogether (our interests and lives simply strayed)
-we just never really got to know each other for some reason

I'm not a top commenter either so that wasn't necessarily a deciding factor as long as we are in touch elsewhere. I feel I gave a chance to everyone, both old and new people, but for all reasons above, as well as my own interests in what and who I read and keep up with, I arrived to this decision. Hope nobody feels offended, I personally feel everyone I cut shouldn't feel bad as we weren't really too close. And if I feel that way, chances are you do, too. If you think I made a mistake, I'm open to talk about it. Otherwise I wish nothing but the very best for you in the future.

If I love something, I picspam it. So this was a long time coming. But aside from my own need to show pretty pictures of Gone With The Wind, this was done for my good friend a_proposito  for a film community on LJ that she's a member of. The picspam mainly contains my favorite photoshoots and stills, with a few screen caps added. Not dial up friendly!

Not just one. Mary Poppins, Gone With The Wind, Sound Of Music, Casablanca, just to name a few. You catch my drift. I don't want to see updated versions of any of the real classics. They became classics for a reason, let's leave them be just that.

Day 06 07 - The most surprising plot twist or ending

I'm skiping Day 6 because I just don't have one. I'll just need to go through my brain and see what made for tv movies I have seen and liked the best. Today's pick was was almost a tie between The Others with Nicole Kidman and this one under the cut. The one under the cut won out.
