Summary: Years pass, things change, and sometimes our lives take us in unexpected directions. Sometimes, it takes us in a wrong direction, but it’s up to us whether or not we retrace our steps and find home once more.
Author’s notes: A timestamp fic for The Lonely End of the Rink, set about 5 or 6 years afterwards. This fic is illustrated in pictures taken by the incomparable nikki4noo, who is also my faithful and ever-helpful beta. I was standing beside her on the beach while she photographed the sunset, and was struck by inspiration, so this fic was born. I was also inspired by the beauty and grandeur of my own back yard, and I wanted to share it with you all.

All the pictures are Nikki’s, you can find the complete photo sets of her hols in North America on her Flickr if you are so inclined. She takes lovely and interesting photos, they are definitely worth a look.

Summary: The day Esca arrived at his dorm only to find it filled with noxious black smoke and his brand new cookware in ruins, he knew something had to be done.

Notes: Modern day college AU. This fic was inspired by this prompt at the_eagle_kink. I took it in my own direction, and it kind of veered away from the prompt. I had a lot of fun and a lot of frustration writing it, but it turned out alright in the end. :D Many thinks to dizilla and nikki4noo for the beta and support!

So I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year...anyone else? I've got a H/D fic in my head that's been there at least a year that I need to get out.

I'm doing really well at almost 17k, but need to keep that motivation up. If anyone is doing NaNo and wants a buddy, I'm under the same name. :D
