Mister was rescued from a hoarders house with over 50 cats. He had skin infections and every parasite a cat could get then he got stuck in a closet for a month after i got him home. He was gentle and sweet to Tara when she was sick. He rough houses with Honey when he's not cuddling with her. He's worth all the stuff he bust and the occasional over crowded bed.

Honey's new bee collar and the duo not making room for me or Brooke-my middle fur baby on the bed.

My cousin's husband was put on a ventilator and dialysis for covid 19 3 weeks ago and was sent home today.

Im sure he will have a long recovery ahead of hom and i dont know if the kidney damage was permanent or not but it was a much better outcome than expected.

One of the things I've done to wind down and feel good about humans again for the last few years is watch nice people on Youtube work. I'm kind of late to the party so none of these may be new to anybody.
It started with the Art Sherpa. She does acrylic painting tutorials flimed by her husband. I will never paint along- my cats would turn my whole house into a Jackson Paw-lick installation if i tried. I like the wishes she puts on cavas before starting and just how fun and kind they seem. Knowing what goes into making art only makes it more impressive not less.

If you want something really meditative Baumgartner Restortation is a guy in Chicago who restores fine art. Hes got a very restful voice and i find watching a painting being repaired emerge from under years of grime satisfying. He recently raised $60,000 for PPE through a go fund me.

Because of my years at tourist trap I like Curiousity inc. About a Canadian Antiques and collectibles shop. This guy is somebody I'd want for a neighbor. The stuff he picks is really interesting too.the channel hasn't been as cheerful lately because his father in law passed last week.

Two candy makers Lofty Pursuits and Hercules Candy are both fun. The first is fanish the second is a family run business that started in a basement.

Thrifters Crazy Lamp lady and SueMe. I picked for long time and miss it.

I watch a bunch of crochet stuff but thats more for instruction. If i dont have a hook in my hand with those on i fall asleep.

Honey nibbles gently on Mister while he purrs loud enough to hear in the next room.

Still here still as sane as i started out being for whatever it's worth.A member of my Star Trek group is in hospital he seems to have had a stroke but his white blood cell way up too he's already on dialysis so this is concerning.

Distractions include watching Sperstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat on YouTube and the many and various Star Treks on CBS. What did y'all think of Picard? I get the feeling i was the one who loved it.

Right now i haven't been able to crochet because even though my cats leave it be the dog eats my yarn. So I'm coloring in an adult coloring book instead. I need to do something instead of physical therapy and housework. BTW Last July I bought a raised exercise mat. It cost $500. and my brother thinks it was a waste but its been a lifesaver right now. It means i dont need to get a ride and go to PT and I can do my stuff at home. The only sacrifice was i no longer have a guest room and the pull out sofa ended up in my living room. When i can have guest again an air mattress can easly be put on the platform to change it into a bed.

Got groceries for the week today. I probably could've gone for another week without a delivery but needed canned cat food so i just went ahead and ordered stuff for a week and felt vaguely like a hoarder.

When I lived in Appomattox it really wasn't unusual for me to go two months or the whole winter and not leave the house for anything but the grocery store or the doctor. I joked today that a couple weeks after quanteen is lifted I'll be telling friends and family that I really need at least one night home because my animals are lonely and i need to do housework.

That said i really do feel for people like my cousin who has two girls one 13 and the other 16. I hope New Jersey is doing no contact wine delivery.

And yes I am taking this very seriously but you have to laugh.

Here's Honey and Mister being goofy because I need the happy. Its a wierd angle the dog is 22 lbs and the cat is 11lbs but it looks the other way around. The dog is just letting the cat sleep on her like this.

I didn't catch up with all that happened before the pandemic hit here. February was pretty awful for my Trek friends. A dear friend of mine ive known for 30 years in Starfleet died of liver cancer. He had just learned of it after getting his gallbladder out a month ago.John was my first officer in the group for many years before he moved out of state. I was planning too visit him with my friend the ship CMO but he passed before we could make the trip.

Then my CMO and her husband got the flu. By Feb. 29th The CMO was on the mend but her husband had died. The flu had turned to pneumonia he coded after being put on a ventilator. Unlike his wife he'd refused to get a flu shot he was 57 years old. So i feel like weve been in crisis mode all year
