Fandoms are in no particular order. When other versions of the same canon exist (ex: webnovel, adapted into a webcomic, adapted in an anime), feel free to use whichever version.
Unless specified otherwise, you can pick any characters to focus on, and pair any of them up with whoever as long as you keep my DNWs in mind. OT3s and moresome ships, gen, and worldbuilding are always welcome. I'm fine with OCs, including as major characters.
