In many cultures, there exists a myth that marriage, whether by legal or religious means, is required for a person to be complete. In many legal and religious systems, there are restrictions on who you can marry and how many people you can marry.
This community is both for people who don't want or need marriage to live a full life (either as a single individual, couple, or group), and for people whose choice of partner(s) prevents them from marrying. The concerns of these two groups don't always overlap, but we lead our lives in very similar ways.
