How long have you loved horses?: From the womb
When was the first time you had the chance to ride?: at fairs when I was little, but I started getting lessons at 8
Did you/are you taking lessons?: not anymore, i would like to but i don't have the money really
Do you prefer English or western or some other style?: i ride hunter jumper, but lately i've been lazy and riding bareback. i rationalized it by saying it would help my balance and my seat, but i never stopped.
What riding styles have you tried?: hunter, hunter over fences, dressage, western: pleasure, reining, and i have done gymkhana's, not my thing
Have you ever jumped?: yes. i love it, but my horse can't go as high as we used to because he hurt his foot :( we still do up to 3 6 though
Do you like trail riding? : love it, it's how i unwind

Which breed do you prefer? : i personally love big german warmbloods (holsteiners are my weakness) but i have a quarter horse im in love with right now

I'm planning on getting a dog this spring or early this summer, and I'm wondering what breeds you all think make good barn dogs. I want the dog to be really small because I'm planning on getting an appartment while I still have it. Thanks for your help!

For those of you who show at AQHA shows, I have a few questions....

First off: indiviual membership. My membership (and horse) are registered under [last name] Kathyrn or Cynthia. Do I have to have a card that is just in my name? And, do I have my horse re-registered under just my name?

Secondly: Amature/Novice Amature. I know that I have to get my amature card. But, since I've never shown at a recongized event, how do I go about getting my novice permits? Most importantly, how long does it generally take for the AQHA to send the papers/permits after I've submitted my paperwork?

I'm bringing my mare down to school in January, but she's going back into serious work in December/November. Ah, and she's very fuzzy right now. Apparently she looks like a bear

The director of the college's equestrian center has suggested that I should body clip to keep her from getting overheated in the winter work.

I'm not entirely sure if I want to fully clip or do a strip clip. And I if I do clip, should I rotate between her waterproof turnout and stable blankets?

And for those of you who have body clipped before, how long does it take? If I decide to do it over two days, where should I start and what should Kelly wear until she's down with me at school

I need a joint supplement for my mare. She's an 11 year Quarter Horse, and build like a halter horse with feet. Since the day I got her, 7 years ago, she's been a "clicker." My vet has told me that it's probably air bubbles in her joint fluid that pop when she moves. He's also said that because she's done it since she was younger, it shouldn't be a problem.

Kelly, sadly, has been plagued with on and off lameness. Some we can clearly identify, others just come out of the blue.

For the last 3 years, I've had her on the Hoof & Coat Joint Formula. Can't remember who produces it, though. When she's on it (and SeE) consistinly, she's sound. Since I've left for college, my mom took her off all supplements (except a bit of SeE).
Now that I'm trying to get her to school, though, I know that I have to get her on the supplements that she needs.

Any suggestions on joint supplements that aren't super expensive and seem to work well?

Hey, this is cross posted to tons of communites, and mods can delete if they need to.

Since I've lost quite a bit of weight, I need to clear out my show closet, mostly Western.  Also, I'm selling off two of my Saddle Seat suits because I just don't them anymore.
